CONRAD'S Eat Drink Local — Restaurant in Liberty

Conrad's has the typical Bar and Grill feel. Lot's of TV's with the bar area proximately featured when you walk in. Not a bad vibe, especially if you want to go out and watch a game while you grab a beer. Food: 3 I had the fried mushrooms to start. Those were really good. Then my wife and I both had the Ribeye steak that came with mashed potatoes and a vegetable. The steak was cooked to my liking, but had very little seasoning. Overall the meal was underwhelming on the flavor side of things. Service: 4 Our waitress was very friendly and made us feel very welcomed. I did observe an incident next to us where 5 adults came in and were given a small 4 top to sit at. They requested another location because they felt the table was too small even if another chair was added. They were told there were no other larger tables available (There was another dirty 4 top nearby that could have been pushed together) but the restaurant wasn't that full and they commented on that. They were told again that they didn't have anything larger. They then asked if they could move to a booth across the room and put a chair at the end of the booth because the table would be bigger. They were told this could not happen because it was against their policy to put chairs on the end of the booths. Ultimately the people left. Atmosphere: Again, nice place to come for a game and a beer.

Overall my rating would be 3.5. Ok place to go but we spent $100 for two meals, one cocktail (I had water) and one appetizer and tip. I know things are expensive everywhere so that's why my expectations are elevated. You will find other places a tick better for the...

I would give this 0 stars if I could. We have a 6-month old baby and tonight (4/28/17) we got a babysitter to go out for the first time in months. We arrived at around 8:15pm and were seated. We ordered 2 Cokes, and pretzels as an appetizer and placed our order (a burger & some pasta). Our appetizer came out within 10 minutes. At around 9:30 the waitress comes up to our table looking confused. She noticed we had no food at our tables and asked "Did I take your order?" We told her yes, and she went back to the kitchen. She came back out and said, "Well....the kitchen has been loosing tickets tonight and yours is gone." We told her instead of re-placing our order, we would just place our order for Bread Pudding to go for our babysitter and take the check. (After waiting for over an hour, we needed to bring something back to our sitter.) We are pretty sure she never entered our meals into the computer because no manager came out to speak with us and I can't imagine a manager not coming out to apologize. Not that we expected a free evening, but she didn't even offer to remove anything off the bill - we paid for our sodas, pretzels & to go dessert. We ended up hitting the Hardee's drive-thru on the way home.

Guess we will try date night somewhere else in another couple of months.

*UPDATE: since Shawn reached out to me, we were able to go out for our 5 year wedding anniversary and gave this another try. Food was excellent and we will be returning. It is going to be inevitable something will go wrong in the service industry. It's how you respond and try to correct it...

1st experience:Tom was our server, and he was absolutely wonderful! He also gave us several food amd beverage suggestions. The manager, Amy, came over to our table and greeted us and made sure that we were having a wonderful first experience. The food and drinks were great! I will definitely be going back!

2nd experience: Emmalyn was our server, and I was very disappointed considering the first experience was wonderful. She was not very attentive and blamed it on her other two tables. She stated, "I'm sorry, they keep asking me for stuff." 1. You should never say that to another customer 2. It was a lie. She consistently asked them if they needed things and failed to check back with us. I had to ask for more water and when she came back with the pitcher, she decided to stop by the other table and fill their glasses first. We had to wait 20 minutes before she came back over for me to have to ask for the check (plates were already cleared by someone else). When she finally brought it back (after waiting 5 more minutes and then taking another table their food), she dropped it off and told us to have a good night. I then had to wait for her to decide to come back to get my card to run. Just not a great experience this time... not sure...
