Buyer beware: This location uses UberEats for delivery orders, and does not communicate with the customer if the UberEats delivery personnel decide not to pick up the order.
After not hearing back from this location, I called in and, after a strange back-and-forth, managed to get this order fully refunded so I'm amending my review. It should be noted, however, that refunds seem few and far between if the UberEats delivery person decides to reject or drive off with this order, however, as the store had great difficulty in working out how to refund the delivery fee and driver tip that we included in our original order.
---Original review:---
We placed a delivery order on the Firehouse Subs website for two sandwiches at 8:29pm (later learning that delivery orders placed at or after 8:30pm will be held and processed the following morning instead of just rejecting/cancelling them), and the website told us that the purchase went through and that we would be able to expect delivery around 9pm. At 9:15pm, I called this location and was told that our sandwiches were made some 30 minutes previously, and had been sitting on their counter for that entire time.
This store didn't contact us to let us know that the UberEats driver had apparently chosen to ignore this delivery, nor did they do anything to rectify the $30 we spent on this order, instead circling the same line of "we can't do anything about this because UberEats handles delivery, so you'll have to take it up with them"...I'm not sure how they expected us to do so, when we ordered through the Firehouse Subs official website and had zero contact with UberEats nor their personnel for the order. I asked to be refunded, and the store manager told me that they couldn't process a refund so they left my receipt for the owner to handle instead--and I've yet to hear from them, either.
Ultimately, these are fine subs if you eat in-store or pick them up yourselves, but good luck getting your food (or a refund) if you...
Read moreMy family orders regularly from Firehouse, it it always during lunch time or slightly after. We ordered 3 sandwiches last night on 2/7/21 at 5:51pm our total cost was $32.00. My sandwich was a complete mess and did not recognize the meat in the sandwich. I called right away, talked to the manager. My take away from her was the following âIf you want a special order have it spelled out in basic instructions on paper so her staff would know what to do. They have young kids working tonightâ. But even then my turkey sandwich with cheese looked like something Dr Sandra Lee would take out of a patient. The manager offered a full remake on the items, but due to the weather no way was anyone going out again. She said I could pick them up tomorrow free of charge. I hung up and talked to my husband. I was in disbelief that.her employee couldnât make a sandwich. Even if they canât do a special order, they didnât even do it right at all.
Then come to find out my grandson, who had ordered a large smokehouse brisket came in and said his sandwich was also a disaster. Another one of Dr Leeâs specimens. He had taken his first bite, and couldnât chew it. He opened the sandwich and found who knows what inside. I did not know about this at the time of my call. The third sandwich was fine. Given the turnover of restaurants and fast food places in my history of living in Liberty, I have thought a lot about our experience last night. I will not be taking the manager up on her offer. This is another food establishment that is off our list of places to eat. Iâm tired of bad service and food being passed off as the norm. When you canât even tell what meat is in your sandwich its scary. I have called and complained about many orders during my time in Liberty, but this is the first time I have written a review. Done with Firehouse...
Read moreMy experience with this company was horrifying. I had been a customer and employee for this company, and the things i saw and dealt with would make your stomach turn, Bedbugs crawling on aprons, roaches crawling on the meat in the back refrigerator, as well as every other surface of the store, threatening to fire me for using proper safety equipment while slicing their meat due to it taking longer, Paying us under the table regularly to come in 6-7 days a week and threatening us if we didn't. They even fired a friend of mine just for being married to another woman. They act like they care about the community and yet when they employ their community they employ us with a slave owner mentality, Denying people their earned unemployment when firing them either by lying or by simply taking you off the schedule to force you to quit. My advice, don't give these crooks your money, they made enough off their private prison contracts to buy a dozen or so stores, and will put your money right back into their schemes. I'm sorry if i ruined the food for you, but anyone who has worked fast food generally doesn't eat where they work for a reason. They own about 12 stores in the kc metro area so be wary of any in kc or MO as they may have more or less the...
