I wish I had taken a picture of my Pake Salad before returning it to the restaurant. My husband and I have been to this location many times. The last several times we went to the liberty location the quality of the Pake Salad has declined. The containers they put the salad toppings in are never filled very much and maybe because we always go through the drive through but the meat has not been superb. Most the time I have to go inside to get teriyaki sauce after going through the drive through even after asking. Last time we chose to go to a different location and my Pake Salad was fabulous once again. Today we were near the Liberty location so hesitant stopped through the drive through. My husband ordered the Mini plate with teriyaki chicken and teriyaki steak. The steak he got had large chewy pieces. My Pake Salad was pathetic. I'm glad I checked my food in the parking lot. I can not believe the girl in the drive through even served it. At the speaker they asked if I wanted everything including wonton's on my salad I said "yes"and really wanted to say plenty of it. When we received our order my bowl was maybe 1/4 full of salad. Even with all the meat and everything the salad was not even coming to the middle line in the bowl. It was very disappointing and there was NO wontons. Of course, so I went inside. The man working there was very apologetic which I appreciated and he said he was going to fix it. I stood there for about 5-10 minutes while he walked around from the front and back to make my new salad. The girl who served and I saw make our food came to the front and even with no other customers in there she never tried to help him fix my salad she killed. Eventually the girl tells him he will have to cook the wontons after I stood there forever waiting. I asked him to give to please just give me my money back my husband had already finished his food at that point. He refunded my money which was $13 plus dollars. Very disappointing especially to see that girl not offer any assistance in fixing something she messed up while that kid was running around. I'm glad I got my money...
Read moreIf you’re craving amazing Hawaiian food, Mo’ Bettahs is the place to go! I’ve been here several times now, and every visit leaves me more impressed. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a laid-back, island-inspired vibe that immediately puts you in a good mood. The staff are always super friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely incredible! My go-to order is the Teriyaki Chicken and Katsu Chicken combo plate with rice and mac salad. The teriyaki chicken is perfectly grilled with just the right amount of sweetness in the sauce, and the katsu chicken is crispy, tender, and so flavorful. The mac salad? Hands down one of the best I’ve ever had—it’s creamy, simple, and pairs perfectly with everything on the plate. I’ve also tried their Kailua Pig, which is smoky and delicious if you’re in the mood for something different. The portions are super generous, so you definitely get your money’s worth. I usually have leftovers to enjoy later (and trust me, it tastes just as good reheated). Prices are reasonable for how much food you get, and it’s always fresh and hot when it’s served. Whether I’m dining in or grabbing takeout, Mo’ Bettahs never disappoints. It’s comfort food at its finest, and it really does feel like a little taste of Hawaii. If you haven’t tried it yet, do yourself a favor and go—you...
Read moreWe placed a mobile order and it said it would be ready in 10 minutes. We planned to eat at the restaurant with our kids and wanted to order ahead of time so our food would be ready. After waiting inside the restaurant with our kids, ages 1 and 3, and asking about our order 3-4 times, it finally came out 35-40 minutes after the order said it would be ready. Each time we asked about the order the worker, who looked overwhelmed, told us it would be out in just a few minutes but it never came out after a few minutes. Anyway, after watching others come in and order and get their food before we got ours we finally got our food and began eating. My husband expressed concern about a piece of meat but I thought the part he showed me maybe was just fatty. Well, no, it turns out it was actually raw! We were disgusted and concerned since all of us had already eaten some of the food and probably were consuming uncooked chicken juices that had leaked in to our rice, etc. Anyway, someone came over and inspected it and said they would make more food but we were over waiting and told her we’d just like a refund. She said she’d refund us, which hopefully we do see later on our account. Overall, it was a terrible experience and we do not, after this experience and a couple of others, ever plan on eating here again. The service has always been incredibly slow and tonight was even...
