I have come here weekly for years.. but I certainly "hated" my most recent experience. I took a friend and told him how great the food was. We ordered. His meal was missing a crabcake and french fries. My meal was missing a loaded baked potato. The ketchup was empty. We brought all this to the attention of the waiter who S L O W L Y brought one item after the other. He never did bring the ketchup I asked him again for ketchup and he said "Oh yeah I forgot to tell you we are out of ketchup" I was floored.... how many french fries and other fried dishes does this place serve and they are out of ketchup??? We were there at 2pm. It was virtually empty inside and plenty of tables available outside. I told him I was not at all pleased and left it at that. A manager came over ( I had NOT requested one) and said he was told there was a problem.. I briefly explained what had happened with the missing items and the abysmal service.. he was EXTREMELY confrontational saying that "Well it looks like you have everything now so what's the problem?" I replied the problem was that it was missing in the first place and was served late etc. and how could they be out of ketchup.. His very argumentative and curt response was "Hey, we're very busy and it's a small kitchen"!!! I couldn't believe it. I looked at my watch and said it's now 230 pm on Saturday you are not even HALF full, and you're telling me your busy? You're telling me your kitchen is too small? I've been there literally every week for years (never at a time this manager was working) and there had never been any problem. The manager was unfriendly and unwilling to accept responsibility for ANYTHING.
Finally, he said "Ok" what do want? By this time I figured we were getting nowhere so I simply said. As I never asked for you and you approached me and have accepted no responsibility for ANYTHING I suggest that you simply leave us alone to finish our meal which he did. I wasn't looking for anything at all.. I wasn't expecting something "free"... It was the single worst experience I've had with service in a restaurant in at least 20 years. I'm 55 years old. My friend is 71 years old. We are not kids.. we are not loud mouths.. we are quiet respectable professionals.
The bottom line was the waiter was TERRIBLE and the manager was WORSE... it was reflected in the "tip".. .or more appropriately the...

Sample Rd. LHP or at any of their other locations.
Wednesday night was an excursion to Lighthouse Point to try out Bonefish Mack’s Grill and Sports Bar. To my surprise, on a Wednesday night, off season, the place was packed and people were even eating outside on the canopied terrace in a 90 deg temp. That was the first hint that we hit the mother-load of a restaurants. The decor emulates New England wood paneled wall fisherie restaurants decorated with wooden lobster traps (naturally), a bunch of flat screen TV monitors to keep instant tabs on all sports, and taxied fished everywhere. Upon reading the menu filled with fried food items, it was poetry to men who love drinking beer, like me. Interestingly enough they also have a wide array of South of the Border Mexicana delights scattered all over the menu; and, they also have a long list of seafood dishes that are “market price” - to me that means “marker surprise”.
We started off with 3 appetizers: onion rings doubled-dipped in beer batter and fried to a golden cake cuddling each ring; a 6-7” in diameter stuffed portobello parmigiana with creamy spinach, topped wit marinara sauce, and melted provolone and parmesan cheese -excellent!; and golden jumbo conch fritters. Entrees were: a full rack of tender and meaty baby back ribs coated with a sloppy and delicious sweet BBQ sauce; a St.Patty melt boasting a ½ lb grilled patty topped with American and Swiss cheese, sautéed onions, and grilled rye toast that were surely dipped in melted butter, but I couldn’t restrain myself and I added an order of bacon to pile on top (just .99 cents extra), and a side of mac & cheese. One in our party came to his senses and ordered a grilled salmon with steamed broccoli and carrots (what a wuss).
I also noticed that they have a Monday night 10oz cut roast beef special for $15.95 – I must come back for that. And if you kids get restless, they even have an arcade in the back. I’ve already put their address in my car’s GPS under favorite...
Read moreUpdate: it's been almost a month and silence. I've removed a star. Meanwhile I went to their Coral Springs location and it was night and day. This location should be embarrassed. Not very happy with my experience. The place in itself is nice. Looked clean, my server was lovely (Nicole) I like the decor, they have a great bar and nice atmosphere but I believe the kitchen may have had an off night. The key lime chicken wasn't edible, extremely bitter, they left it in the key lime marinade for too long, heavy citrus changes the texture of the chicken, makes it easier to overcook as well which it was, stringy and horrible. They put cheese all over the mashed potatoes, no cheese listed on menu and the asparagus had curdled butter all over it. My husband had the fried seafood platter, it was drowning in oil. The basket underneath had so much oil that when we picked up the fish it was dripping down in a steady stream. He ate part of the fish and left everything else on the plate. We did not take the left overs. Upon informing our server, she took my concern to the manager who then instead of comping the ill prepared dish, chose to decrease the price by $3 because the fish was partially eaten, not fully because the heavy oil was making my husband sick. Manager also did not visit my table, obviously zero concern for our first experience at Bonefish Mac, I've been in hospitality management my whole life and I found this to be extremely unprofessional. Due to this we won't be returning to this location. We spent $40 and left hungry. Seeing as the manager didn't even bother coming to the table, I'm sure this review will fall on deaf ears. Update: My husband is sick and throwing up. The experience just felt disrespectful at this point. I should have refused to pay for that dish. Really regret going...
