Venturing into Super Banh Mi Pho in Norcross, GA, was a delightful culinary experience. The expansive parking lot ensured an stress-free start, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience.
Upon entering, the fusion of Vietnamese cuisine and Dragon Ball Z decor welcomed us. It's a unique touch that adds a playful charm to the ambiance, making the dining experience not just about food but also about immersion in pop culture.
Our meal began with the fresh spring rolls, a mix of shrimp, vermicelli noodles, and fresh veggies wrapped in steamed rice paper. The Spring roll was perfectly paired with a luscious peanut sauce. The combination of textures and flavors showcased the restaurant's commitment to freshness and quality.
The banh mi, a star in its own right, proved to be a juicy and flavorful masterpiece. Every bite was a symphony of savory goodness.
The Seafood Pho's deconstructed presentation was a stroke of genius. Noodles on one plate and steaming soup in a stone bowl addressed the common issue of noodles expanding in the broth if not consumed right away. This thoughtful approach not only preserved the integrity of the dish but also allowed for a personalized dining experience. The stone bowl's ability to maintain piping hot soup added an extra layer of satisfaction.
The BBH, bursting with flavor, was a gastronomic delight. Add veggies and shrimp paste to elevated the dish. .
Super Banh Mi Pho seamlessly blends culinary excellence with a touch of whimsy, making it a must-visit for food enthusiasts seeking both exceptional flavors and a unique ambiance. This culinary gem in Norcross, GA, earns high praise for its inventive approach and dedication to delivering a five-star...
Read moreI first heard of this place from a friend at work who mentioned that it was a "Dragon Ball Z" restaurant. My curiosity was peaked and I decided to look into it more. I was thinking at first that it was a temporary pop-up cafe with a Dragon Ball Z theme, but as it turns out, it's a Vietnamese restaurant with a Dragon Ball Z theme.
I drove to the restaurant which was directly across from Greater Atlanta Christian School while on my way to work. As soon as I stepped in, I was in awe in both the Dragon Ball paraphernalia from the interior decorations to the figurines both life-sized and small on display in the center. They also had a episode from the original 1986 Dragon Ball anime playing on the television. Besides having a sit-down area for people eating in the restaurant, they also had a take-out/delivery area where customers can enter what they want to order like in a convenience store, pay and wait for their food.
I ended up ordering a Vietnamese Iced Coffee and a Banh Mi Dac Biet (Vietnamese baguette Sandwich with multiple meat cuts). The Iced Coffee was really good with the condensed milk mixed in bringing a perfect balance with the strong coffee. As for the sandwich, the combination of the vegetables, meat and in-house mayonnaise created a both delicious and filling feeling when consumed.
Overall, I had a great first impression of the restaurant. Would love to come back in the future, maybe with a friend or two, and try out the other...
Read moreI've been here more than a few times since they opened and the food has always been stellar! This place does Phó the way it SHOULD be done! It's so fresh and always hits the spot! The stone bowls keep it hot all the way down to the last drop. This is one of the few places where I've eaten all the food in the bowl and engulfed all the broth. And that's just the food.
The service is exceptional. Yes, it's a kiosk where you order the food yourself, but there's always someone willing to answer questions or get you exactly what you need. Just because there's no waiters doesn't mean the service is bad. It's quite the opposite! They're very knowledgeable in their dishes and drinks and always recommend a good pairing.
And then of course, the atmosphere! The artwork is AMAZING and the decor and statues are such a joy to look at and appreciate. Getting to sit down and just look up at Broly while slurping some noodles is just a delight!
As a life-long Dragon Ball fan, having a DBZ themed phó restaurant within a couple miles of my home was always a dream. These guys made it come true! I've been coming here since before the remodel and the food was great then too. They did overhaul it and now it's a wonderful experience! I can't recommend this place enough! Come...
