Went there for 1st time Sat night because adjacent diner closing within 30 minutes of our arrival. Only one other party seated inside ( I think a few more outside). A Lot of staff there, appeared not busy- talking around bar to each other- just appeared odd. No one at reception....had to wait longer than I would have expected to have someone recognize us and come to assist us. I had asked if ok for two of my under 18 kids could still eat here ( since it was a bar as well), guy looked at me like I was crazy for asking. Allowed us to sit anywhere. Comes over, provides menus, no introduction as to his name-- as in " my name is xxxx and I'll be servicing you tonight". Guess I'm just a traditionalist in that way. Took drink orders, brings over two of them....no communication, like " here ya' go, the Pepsi and the root beer, the other two will be right out." Took food orders. My spouse's came out- a salad- no dressing on it. As he brings each item, barely any words spoken- basically just dropped plates, and kept moving. Mine comes out, with the side salad I ordered, had a cup of white dressing. I asked what it was, because I was never asked the type of dressing I wanted. He responds "It is ranch, why what do you want." I paused to gain my composure, and asked if there was any Italian- he brings it. At that point I'm not happy with experience. I eventually ask a worker where I could find a manager- I wanted to talk with him/ her at the end if my meal. Manager came over, I explained issue with the interaction with my dressing. He was very understanding. I specifically asked the manager, twice, Not to mention anything to the server until I left. Server came out of bathroom and manager immediately approached him and explained what occurred. Server came over and immediately apologized....I did not want or expect that, as I asked manager not to say anything. Manager had come back over, offered something on the house, we refused- was not reason for complaint. Server had cone back over later, still apologetic, offered something on house too- again refused. Before we left, ordered a platter for another member of family to bring home- as was plan all along to do. They provided it to us free of charge. Nice but not necessary. I based tip on if the platter was part of order. Tip was very generous. Bottom line: they addressed my concern adequately. We won't be back there any time in near future. We are fans of diner that is adjacent-- service means a lot to me. When you only get one time a week to treat yourself to a night out with family, which is basically a diner meal followed by ice cream for kids, bad/rude service is one of last thing you need. Can really ruin experience. Maybe my wife and I are too old for hip bar/ restaurant, or too traditional and expect good/ friendly service. Food is bar food. Physical atmosphere is nice-- exposed wood look, TVs, etc. Concerns: why soo many staff members....they're standing around talking...weird....is business that bad/slow? It was 830pm...not closing time. Would not Not recommend, but wouldn't promote it either. Manager and server more than attoned for...

The appetizers were great. We got the bacon rack and shrimp and it was delicious.

However, the french onion burger claimed to have caramelized onions on it and it barely was even sautéed. The onions were still hard and crunchy. I also asked for my burger medium and it came out well done and dry. The crab cakes very pretty much just filling and the meatloaf wasnt great either. Essentially, all the entrees we ordered were not good.

We also came a couple of times for wing night They wings are usually very good but the service is always lacking. The whole table would ask for extra crispy wings and ranch and they would bring out soggy wings and blue cheese. Could not get another drink past the first one ect. This is every time we went.

Every time we went it was $9 for 12 or $.075 as they advertised them. Last time we went we were 4 people and we all only ordered wings on their wing night. It was supposed to be $36 ($9 times 4) but the bill came back $60 ($15 times 4). We asked what is going on and the waitress said we didnt say we wanted the wings special on wing night so we got regular wings which has 12 instead of 10. Which 1) why would we have to clarify we wanted the wings special on the wing special night and 2) we have always paid $9 ($0.75 times 12) so either they always charged us more than $0.75 a wing or she was wrong. It also doesnt make sense cause she should have then charged us for the “extra” wings we got at their advertised price of $0.75.

She said she cannot change the bill and could only take 1 order off and charged us $45, still $9 over what we should have paid and the price of a whole other wing order.

We dont really appreciate the false advertising or being robbed while...

First time in the Flying Pig. Figured we would give it a try after shopping at Limerick outlets. Admittedly a late ish visit as we arrived about 9:15 pm.

Started out great. Cool decor and vibe. Drinks were really good. Picture worthy. Ordered two burgers French Onion and Blue Cheese medium with onion rings.

Forty minutes later with only four occupied tables we notice a table that arrived well after us received their food. Our drinks are long gone so we enquire as to our food. Its brought right out with a comment that its thought to be cold as the warmers were turned off long ago. Seriously? Our food wasn’t being looked for at the appropriate time? No one in the kitchen wonders why meals are left to sit under warmers turned off?

We are offered to have new meals “fired right up”. Although we are over the experience we decide to let them cook new burgers and onion rings as we are told it's all the kitchen has to do so will be quick. “New food” arrives looking totally rewarmed. Onion rings burnt edges and hard as a rock. Burgers well done. Out of extreme hunger we eat one and a half and leave the rings. Would rather keep our teeth.

We are only charged for drinks but no manger to the table nothing to try to make up for this debacle.

Shame. Drinks had us planning another visit. Food disappointment won’t earn a...
