So here’s another one I’ve driven by countless times. Like literally 1000 times. Has street frontage but still seems tucked away. Was driving around and needed a quick bite and a little caffeine pick me up to really get the old afib thumpin’! Realized I was close to Javas Brewing and decided today was the day. And so it was . . . Walked in and the place was bustling - always a good sign, imho. Once the lady in front of me was done ordering, I stepped to the pos terminal and my order was taken by a very sweet and engaging young woman. Even gave me some unsolicited compliments, which, of course, translated to a nice tip. Flattery will get you everywhere. Ordered an iced coffee and ham & egg on a bagel. Didn’t take long for my order to be ready, but in the meantime they had some artsy candles and stuff that I perused and impulse bought a candle that said “well mom you screwed a lot stuff up but at least you didn’t have ugly children” for Mother’s Day. My mom passed decades ago but whatever . . . Anyway, got the food, and ate it in my car as I drove off. The coffee and food were really good, and the service really really nice. I’ll be back. Would recommend you check it out, as well. Enjoy!

Java’s Brewin is buzzing local family-owned coffee shop specializing in baked goods and great coffee. The owner and staff are consistently warm and friendly which contributes to an atmosphere which matches. The constant stream of local loyalists can make it tough to find a seat during peak hours, but that’s typically a good indication. Expect an assortment of baked specialties like power bars (granola, egg whites, raisins, etc...my personal favorite), bagels, and their famous monstrous muffins. They boast a solid lineup of gluten free options and the assortment of muffin flavors is as impressive as their size. You’ll also find a variety of sandwiches, salads, and soups as they are open for both breakfast and lunch. They grind their coffee just prior to preparing each pot. This provides fresh flavor for coffee which is, in my opinion, already tremendous. Inquire about their flavored roast as it packs flavor without too much sweetness. Espresso and tea based beverages are also popular. Can’t forget the smoothies for those in the mood. The WiFi, atmosphere, and staff make this a perfect spot for a casual bite, quick stop, or spot to work remotely. Highly recommend!

I'm not in here for 2 minutes and I can already get an at-home vibe. As first impressions go, this was off to a good start. I get in, order my half-caff, and then I noticed that there is a $10 minimum for cards. Guess who only has a card? Spoiler! It's me. As I'm internally scrambling to pick something else to get, the barista tells me to not worry about it. I thanked her and waited for my coffee to be made. This is a really nice and quaint cafe. It's pretty cozy too. I'm definitely coming back here for coffee and food (I will make sure to bring cash if I don't get more). I also had a brief moment where I talked to the owner who was just as friendly as his staff.

There are a lot of great reasons to visit Bob and Lisa and the rest of the family (two lovely daughters - Julie and Amanda) and staff. First and foremost, you receive warm, comfortable and great client service. I use "client" intentionally because it implies a deeper relationship than that of a "customer". They have this all figured out. As busy as it typically is, Bob and Lisa always find a way to visit with their clients and make them feel like a part of the family. Second, it's the fantastic coffee, especially if you like dark roast. You gotta try the Dark Mexican - it's my favorite. And if you bring your own travel mug, you get their coffee for 95 cents - can't beat it! Third, the light fare is very good. Bob & Lisa do a good job staying within their limits. Everything is made and baked fresh on site and is always good and very wholesome. They also think about clients' dietary needs - as a "near" vegetarian (really, a "pescetarian"), this is important. There lots of choices - the Modena is my favorite breakfast item and the low fat chocolate/peanut butter muffins are a terrific alternative to curbing a sweet tooth (like mine). Finally, it's the whole package. This is an all-in, family-owned business and they all put their collective heart and soul into it, which makes it even more special and definitely worth supporting. Java's Brewin' may not be for everyone, but if you know how to be comfortable, to be open to trying new things and to appreciate visiting with family and friends, this place is a gem! And with that, I'm off to get some Dark Mexican - maybe I'll...

My sister and I have never been to this establishment before, and decided to try it out as it was well-reviewed. We ordered a smoothie, an iced coffee, and a muffin. After we paid, we sat down at a table to wait as we saw other patrons also sitting and waiting. We waited approximately 10 minutes before my sister received her smoothie. At this time, we noticed the family of 5 that ordered after us received all of their items within the time that my sister only got her smoothie, and that the shop had no muffins left in the case. As we both work in customer service, we gave the benefit of the doubt as we understand that sometimes things get mixed up so we continued to wait. After 20 minutes of seeing other customers receive their orders, my sister went up to the counter and asked the girl at the register if we were supposed to wait there for the muffin, to which she was told no. The girl then asked if she would like a blueberry muffin instead (the only one left) to which my sister politely declined, and said it wasn’t a problem. My sister then asked about the coffee, and an employee behind the counter who was listening to the exchange said “Well I got the smoothie” and another employee said “Well are they even still here?” Then my sister continued to stand there, and 5 minutes later the coffee came out. We gathered our things and said thank you to the employees, who gave us no response, and promptly left. Overall, the smoothie was really good and we hope to have a better experience if we return to this...
