La Mexicana Bakery — Restaurant in Lincoln Park

I just moved to Lincoln Park and visited this bakery for the first time. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a woman at the counter and she let me know everything was self serve. It was very hard choosing which pastries and other items I wanted, everything looked delicious! I ended up getting 5 things, concha bread, two muffins, and two jelly pastries. Everything was delicious, very good flavor (the strawberry filled muffin has changed my life, honestly). The best part is the prices are very good. It’s easy to spend more and is all well worthwhile. I’ve spent my weekend in a sugar rush. I can’t wait to make this a weekly adventure. Definitely...

A great little bakery! There was such a varied selection we almost couldn't decide what to get. Their Boston Cream Pie donuts were to die for and the blueberry donut was amazing also. We also got a bottle of regular coconut milk and strawberry coconut milk. Both were delicious and had cubes of coconut jelly. The overall price for everything that we bought was way lower than we expected too! The staff was very friendly and informative. Such a nice place for a good atmosphere and to get a decent sweet tooth fix. It is safe to say that we will be coming back...
