Today I decided I am going to start seriously dock businesses that think it’s okay to overcharge because it’s not right and places like this seem to rather not make it right than admit they were wrong and resolve it. I asked the worker how much a salmon avocado roll was. She told me $5.99. When I got my bill, it was $6.99. I asked her and she said “it’s the new system” even though interestingly she just told me it was $5.99 (and even more interesting-which I’ll chalk up to a possible misunderstanding- when I called in a minute before they told me it was $8.99). Now yes it’s just a dollar. However $1/$5.99 is 16%. The food cost 16% more than I anticipated. How often do consumers get ripped off a dollar here and there? It adds up for businesses and deeply annoys me and I have noticed it more and more so I am going to call it out. The food was okay. Nothing spectacular,...
Read moreLoved it! I had fast become disappointed with the quality and serving size of Sushi restaurants locally, after experiencing some Sushi restaurants in San Jose and San Francisco Bay area. Kome is as close as I have come locally, to the quality I experienced on the West Coast. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The dining area is comfortable, but not intimate. It is in a strip mall, which in no way detracts from the atmosphere as the bar itself is in one quarter of store and the rest of the store is typically 4 top seating. Its bright and airy. The sushi was amazing. The menu is varied and has something for everyone (sushi wise) Mid price range, and comparable to other local restaurants with one exception..THEY DELIVER. Pretty sure if I give in to delivery Sushi I will live in my pajamas and never...
Read moreUgh I've tried to get this place a chance over 3 times because of how close it is to my house... but if you're a sushi addict like me you know this place doesn't do sushi justice. The wasabi is runny and watery leaking into my to go box on 2 occasions. The rice isn't fully cooked and the fish isn't fresh. The tuna is more brown than red. I imagine if you are getting everything deep fried this place might be ok, but if you're in it for the fish and sushi without masking it (deep fried) it just doesn't work. I never review anything but I just want to save you sushi lovers. You're better off making the trip to Maru or even noble fish for some really good sushi. Sorry kome, but I...
