Afghan Village Cuisine opened less than a year ago. We finally made it in for date night over the weekend! They have a regular/ take-out menu but we were here for the Daily Buffet!!! My husband started with the Chicken Curry, Chicken Tikka Kababs, and Beef Chapli. Liked them all, especially the Kabab. Next some Creamy Potato Soup which he said was very creamy, good flavor. Last plate he tried the veggie entrees and Veggie Beef Rolls which he declared his favorite thing so far! I made myself a green salad from the cold bar, everything was nice and fresh. Started with Chickpea Curry, Zucchini Curry, Eggplant Banjan, and Rice. The curries were very good but it was the Eggplant I had seconds of. I'm not even a fan ordinarily but it was fantastic! The Samosas were literally some of the best I've ever had and I had to restrain myself! My husband grabbed Dessert first. Cream Rolls and Banana Pudding. Loved both. I am not a big dessert person so I got a tiny bit of each. Really have never liked Banana Pudding but I had a second small helping! Those Cream Rolls are magical and addictive! Seconds on those as well! Both were very mild and understated but Delicious! Service was attentive. He routinely cleared our plates and asked if we were enjoying our food. I am not sure how often the menu changes but I have seen many variables online. Their digital Menu Board stays updated. Our experience was Great! There was a steady stream of customers but this place should have been packed on a Saturday night. I strongly encourage everyone to give it a try. Spread the Word! It would be a shame to lose this restaurant. $19 bucks is a total steal! ❤️❤️❤️

Our book club chose Afghan Village Cuisine for dinner to complement our current book about Afghanistan, and what an incredible discovery it turned out to be! The food was delicious and offered via a buffet – I went back twice! Or you could order items individually. The seasonings struck a perfect balance, transporting us to another world without overwhelming our taste buds. Vegetarians will be pleased with the variety of delicious options. It is family-owned, and we had the opportunity to meet and talk with Alias, one of the owners. Everyone was very welcoming. I’ll definitely be returning, and I can’t wait to introduce more friends to this hidden gem tucked into a small shopping area off O Street!

Afghan buffet with some of the renowned Afghan items. In total, 15 items, I suppose. Overall, I would say it offers a nice atmosphere and food combination. The adult buffet is $19, and if you are taking fountain drinks, add $2 more. Pricing is transparent and there are also discount options for the elderly and children. The food is delicious; however, considering the price point, perhaps they could add a few more items to the buffet (in appetizers and desserts). The owner seemed friendly and also shared his hotspot internet with me. Nice place and great experience.

First of all I do not know howow anything on this level gets this high of a rating. They are playing with the reviews or putting false reviews or something because there is no way this place rates that high and I will tell you why.

First of all it's in a pretty sketchy little strip mall which doesn't necessarily set your tone the way you'd want but it is relatively clean so I wanted to give it a chance, I wanted to like this place.

The guy running it was friendly enough and the buffet look reasonably stocked. Once I got some and sat down then I began my disappointment

First of all everything was cold. I don't know how you can have a buffet that you just can't keep hot. If that wasn't bad enough I know some of this food was left over from the day before. The bread is at least a day if not two or three days old as it was almost impossible to actually chew.

The spring roll things were so old and had been rewarmed so many times they were falling apart.

The vegetable entrees on the buffet had been reheated so many times they were basically just mush.

Oh if that weren't bad enough the only thing that actually had reasonable amount of flavor was the chicken tikka which again as I mentioned earlier was just dead freaking cold.

The only thing that was reasonably okay at this was the lemonade that I got out of the machine.

If that's not bad enough they wanted almost $25 for the buffet! $25 for garbage food that's cold and it been at least two days old.

Whoever gave this place over one star you're just wrong, you're just wrong and if you wanted debate it I will meet you here and we can debate it because this...

The buffet is loaded with variety, from perfectly seasoned kabobs to rich, slow-cooked stews that melt in your mouth. The lamb korma and chicken karahi are bursting with authentic spices, and their freshly baked naan is the perfect complement to every dish. The mantoo (dumplings) and kabuli pulao (fluffy rice with raisins and carrots) are standout dishes that you won’t find done this well anywhere else. The staff is incredibly welcoming, making you feel like you're dining in a family home. They ensure the buffet stays fresh, hot, and fully stocked. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, creating an immersive Afghan dining experience with traditional touches. For the quality and variety of food you get, the price is more than fair. Whether you’re coming for lunch or dinner, the buffet offers an unbeatable deal—you can eat like royalty without breaking the bank! Afghan Village Cuisine is a hidden gem that deserves all the praise. Whether you’re a fan of Afghan food or trying it for the first time, this place will blow you away with its flavors, hospitality, and cozy ambiance. Highly...
