Amigos/Kings Classic — Restaurant in Lincoln

Last week my husband and I went through the drive through and ordered 2 meat enchiladas and 2 crisp meat burritos (which we have gotten for years from various locations) as well as a couple other items. When we opened the enchilada boxes they appeared to be cheese enchiladas with the meat put on top. When we ordered them they asked what kind of meat; we have never been asked that. As I was eating mine I thought it seemed spicier than normal and about halfway through I found out why; there were pieces of breaded chicken in mine that were spicy. As far as the crisp meat burritos go mine was correct but my husband’s was not beef(I think it looked like some kind of seafood). We went in the next day and asked to speak to a manager only to be told that they had left and would not be back until the next day (9-2); which means they were operating with no manager on duty. My husband sent a message to corporate and still has not heard...

I was disappointed to find that the dining room is still closed, ostensibly due to COVID-19. But when I went in to order my food to go, I could clearly see that they are using at least some of the dining room space for storage or staging. That seems... a bit odd, at least.

The food, however, was fresh and hot and delicious as usual. I do have to take exception to the fact that they didn't put any napkins in my bag, however. That would be irritating anywhere and under any circumstances, but with the pandemic, NO place has self-service napkins available (which is perhaps understandable). So it's not like I could or should have grabbed some napkins for myself. And of course everything at Amigos is greasy AF, so napkins are always needed.

Ok, but nevertheless the food was excellent and the girl who took our order was friendly and efficient. So it really wasn't a bad experience, just could have...

Went thru drive thru. Got 2 crisp pintos, 2 sides of ranch & a mocha frape. Employee was extremely hard to understand & seemed distracted. Had to repeat my order multiple times. Never gave me a total. Get to window and after waiting 5+ min i get my 2 crisp meats but no drink. I say something and he looks confused & says oh yeah its coming. Meanwhile look in bag & no ranch. 4 min later when i get my drink i say there was no ranch in my bag. Again looks confused so I say i ordered 2 sides of ranch he tells me no i didnt but grabs me 2 and says well do u have 50 cents i said wasnt i already charged for it when i ordered it but was just going to give him another 50 cents and he shoves the ranch at me says forget it just here but u never asked for them then shuts the window.
