Would not recommend. I have a crazy neighbor that won’t leave us alone and keeps tapping and on windows, coming into our backyard at night at scaring myself and my children. The cops said we need to have a motion light and security camera to get him on tape before they can make an arrest. I went to home depot in search of a ring motion light/camera combo. When I went in the store no one could educate me further on any of the products (if I have to do all the research, then I might as well order off of Amazon). Anyways, I educated myself further at the store by reading the box and what not. I picked out an item that was 169.99. Online it did not mention that they don’t price match with Amazon yet the customer service associate said they don’t. I bought it but called customer service after looking at their price match regulations. When on the phone, the associate said they don’t match 3rd party vendors. Which Amazon is not. The item is sold and shipped from Amazon. Then they said it had to be matched from a physical store. I informed them that Amazon has several physical stores, in Chicago, New York, Seattle, San Francisco…many more. Then they said they don’t price match bc it’s a membership and they don’t offer it. I informed them that they do in fact have a pro membership that I have so that also doesn’t make sense not to mention it says specifically on their website that it does not match membership prices at WHOLESALE retailers. I proved this guy wrong on the phone by simply reading their rules from their website for 40 minutes. Then he didn’t know what to say so he transferred me to a manager who finally said “stores vary by what they will honor or not” and that is a huge problem. These store are not independently or privately owned like fast food franchises and can pick what they honor or don’t and even when those fast food stores can do that, there is ALWAYS a fine print on the coupon that says only at participating stores. Home Depot’s website does NOT say that. The associate finally said, okay, I can honor the discount but you have to order it online and then return the one you have. Sir, why in the world would I do that and then pay shipping on top. So what I will do is order this on Amazon which will probably work out to my benefit with prime days being tomorrow and put this one up today and then return it when the one from Amazon gets here. So in summary, they did not provide customer service to me in the store (I had to educate myself), they didn’t honor what they said they would do on their website, I had to argue with an uneducated sales rep for 40 minutes, then their solution was for me to order another one of their items through them and pay shipping and wait until after the 18th for them to ship it to me. I truly try to shop in stores bc I like shopping in them but what is the point. I can do the research myself and buy it for cheaper without all the hassle and get it the same day anyways from Amazon. So now they lost my business, will eat 169.99 when I return the item, and then bc they made me mad and I’m petty at this point, I will have my dad use Menards or Lowe’s for his business- which will have way more of an impact then my purchases. It just doesn’t make sense to shop in the stores. I’m 33 and probably one of the very few left of my generation to shop in the stores. I’m sure in 10 years the stores will probably close but at this point, they have nothing to offer anyways. Just lost 46 minutes of my life but it was for the principal. So all in all 10/10 do NOT recommend. I will say the guy at self check out did thank us for our service in the...
Read moreI am very dissatisfied with this store. My bifold doors were measured wrong to make a long story short. Home Depot wont take responsibility. They need to be special ordered now. This all started in Dec 2013. We were lead to believe that the doors were ordered and that we didn't have to pay the difference. Weeks went by. We didn't question it for awhile because they were suppose to take several weeks. My husband ran into Mike from the store. That's when he said he didn't think any doors were ordered. We went to Home Depot that's when they got the Manager Ted. He said they couldn't pay the difference. He would only take $250 off the balance. He was suppose to call us back after seeing if he could do any better. He NEVER called us. My husband got a call from the lady in the front. She said that they could do the $400. This was only because my husband got tired of them not admitting they were at fault and said he would do half. If your going to go by that Home Depot told the contractor guy that installed our doors that they wouldn't charge us the difference. I am sooo upset about this whole experience and how Home Depot handled it that I am not going to shop here any more. I was going to do my kichen there. I even knew what cupboards I wanted. We had shopped several times at Home Depot before we got our doors. We have been fixing alot of stuff at the house. My kitchen would be the next thing to do. I cant take a chance at something going wrong again with Home Depot not making things right. Plus the amount of time it takes for a project to get done. It's one thing when you don't have a door on your closet. If they messed up my kitchen. That wouldn't work with not being able to use it. Stay away from the door section...
Read moreIt all started great. We bought a washing machine, new stainless steel hose & warranty. We also paid for delivery, instilation & removal of the old machine. Jeb was our sales person & he couldn't have been better. Him alone would have given Home Depot 5 stars. I was out of town for work when the machine was delivered. The guys installing the washer broke the hoses off & left the couplings attached to the water saying they couldn't remove them because if they damaged anything they would have to pay for it out of their pocket. They left the machine in the laundry room with the new hoses thrown inside & my family with no washing machine. When I got back into town on Saturday I contacted Jeff the manager at Home Depot he told me that was not the way they did business & he would send someone out to fix it. No mention of reimbursement for delivery. He said it may not happen until Monday. He said if he couldn't get anyone the store plumber & himself would be out Monday to right the wrong. That was over 6 weeks ago & I haven't heard a word. As far as Jeff & Home Depot know we are still without a washing machine & apparently they don't care. Luckily I fixed it that day. Bottom line Home Depot management very unprofessional & don't follow through. Once you buy it you are on your own. Take your money to Menard's or Lowe's. Thanks for nothing Jeff. Wish I could...
