What a disappointment. Food is not the best. It's really gone bad since the last time I was there. I paid with real money. The server collected money. I don't like it when they ask if you need change. I said, "YES, because your tip is here on the table^ and showed her. She brought me only part of my change. After I left, I thought more about it . so I called to complain, and they acted like they couldn't hear me. Finally, the server came to the phone and said they don't usually give back the change unless you ask. I did say YES when she took it. She said you need to remind them. I told her it was not my responsibility, and she hung up on me. Won't go back. It's just the principle of the thing. I'm not going to waste my time with this place. I know of a much better place in town and with better margaritas. I make better enchiladas at home with real recipe, and I think they used the instant refried beans suppliers sell to restaurants. How do they call it authentic when I ordered a chili relleno on N 27, and they took a pepper and wrapped it in a flour tortilla and served it that way!!! It's sad if people think the food is good. With Hispanic last name I've been to many Mexican eateries all...
Read moreI just want to preface this by saying it was my birthday and I chose to go to this restaurant because it was my favorite, but ... When we got there, we had to wait a couple of minutes to be seated, despite the place being dead, because the 3 women standing there were too busy on their phones. When the hostess finally seated us, she threw the menus on the table and walked away without a word. The waiter seemed pretty disinterested as well and barely said much beyond what he absolutely had to. I ordered a strawberry daiquiri that tasted like dishwater. It took me awhile to decide what I wanted to order, but when we did order, our food was out in less than 5 minutes. I dare say it was actually two minutes before our food came out. I'm not a chef, but that seems ridiculously quick and a bit sketchy. When we were done with our meal, it took about 10 minutes to get our check even though the place was not busy. We will not be going back, which is sad because it used to be my favorite Mexican restaurant. It used to be a great place to eat with better service, better food, and fantastic drinks. I used to recommend this place to everyone who asked for recommendations, but I will no longer...
Read moreMy experience is nothing short but disappointing. Before arriving my expectations were high after looking at the stellar Google reviews. However, what I came to see was not comparative to what the reviews stated.
First, we had ordered the appetizer "Mazatlan Nachos" which included cheese, shredded chicken, guacamole, sour cream, and tomatoes. The nachos that came out were a microwaved mess, the chicken was laid out in big chunks and the cheese was clearly shredded cheese that was microwaved instead of genuine nacho cheese, leaving the cheese scattered in melted chunks and the chips a soggy greasy mess.
Secondly, the price did not match the quality of the food that was given. The burrito ordered cost $14 and the nachos another $9. Every piece of the food was over salted, and the beef tasted like something straight from taco bell but jacked up in price.
In conclusion, for a place that claims to be "authentic" Mexican food I could not more...
