Firehouse Subs East Park Plaza — Restaurant in Lincoln

Giving a 5 star because I know Tom and the majority of his team go above and beyond for their customers and the service. I have personally had conversations with Tom during my time at Freddy's about the standards of customer care and satisfaction, and with that said I would say my visit today would embarrass him as well as the GM and other managers. I went in today around 2:50 ish and there were 4 staff in the store (one was on what I assume was a break). From the moment I walked in the door to the moment I left the employees were S#!t talking another employee that was not there, the one on break even got up to get in on it from across the counter. They also were talking about some fire score? - I understand this happens in almost any job but when I go for lunch I just want my (AMAZING) sub, not all of the dirty laundry to go along with it. Scrumptious fresh subs! Ordered the turkey bacon ranch and it was delicious. Only thing I didn't like was that I couldn't taste the peppercorn ranch. Anyhow on the front counter there are several sauces to pick from ranging in mild to burning hot. They have them numbered so you know on a scale of 1-10 what level of heat you're getting. They have the drink machine that contain several different drink flavors you can test out. Customer service was prompt and didn't feel pushy like some places I've gone to where the cashier would stare you down like you need to hurry. The eating areas were clean and I loved the decorations in honor of firemen. Overall its a nice little comfy spot to get a quick bite with your family or friends. The first time my girl friend or I had ever visited a Firehouse Subs restaurant, the workers, all 20-something females, pretended to cough and sneeze around the workstation where they put together our food. My partner and I were the only ones wearing masks in the entire restaurant. This is just a few months after COVID first started so everywhere else in town everyone has masks on.

I noticed this out of the corner of my eye then watched them for a solid fifteen seconds cough and giggle, as if mocking the coronavirus as a whole. We hadn't paid yet so we left without another word.
