There is no structure management there. I came in by myself. I waited 20 minutes before somebody even came up and asked me if I wanted water or anything like that. After I got the water I ordered right away, in fear that it was going to take them another 20 minutes to get me something. It still took an additional 15 minutes to make the food. When I was there there was a four top that had came in, within 3 minutes they where served drinks. The place was not that busy the waiters were standing around talking a lot.
I did notice because I was white, my wife and child who were Asian were not with me it was like I was discriminated. The Four Tops that had come in two of the four were Vietnamese.
I ordered the seafood Pho. I ordered a large when the food came to me, it looked very good. The Taste was good the only problem was is I got two shrimps one oyster and two of the fish pad. After some people left they did at least wipe down the top but they would not sweep the floors. The floors were disgusting. You would figure they would have a sweeper or some type of a broom to help pick stuff up.
The two gentlemen that were standing by the register by the phones not in the front we're just talking and not even paying attention they didn't want to help people out.
When the waiter came to me at the end he apologized for the wait. I understand people have bad days at work nobody is perfect at all. I have been to that place before many times I have never seen it this bad in my life.
I wish I could post pictures to show you what was happening going on this facility will not allow that.
I hope the owners in Kansas City, will take a look at this and give me their email address I will be more than happy to send them pictures stop everything that I have...
Read moreRidiculously good. If you know & love pho, you have to go to this place! Consistent quality everytime we make the trip from Omaha (just to eat here). I was absolutely shocked to find this quality of Vietnamese food in the Midwest, and especially Nebraska. Coming from a city where there are scores upon scores of Vietnamese & pho restaurants, yobo & I have been searching for a decent place when we're craving pho. We used to trek to Kansas City's Vietnam Cafe, which was the best we could find in the Plains States so far. Forget that~ this place puts them to shame!! The only pho house that comes close to this one is in Pinellas Park, FL- and this one beats it for ambience. Even their basic appetizers like fried spring rolls, or fresh spring rolls, are good every time. The rice paper is never the least hard/stale, shrimp is always good, the peanut sauce is good, etc. Fried ones are never overdone either. Their interior is nice- when I saw it, I thought maybe they focused on it to the detriment of the food (like Saigon Surface, whose chef is apparently missing their taste buds!) but nope, that's not the case here. =D Last point is, the service is always so on point. That's absolutely fabulous, and shouldn't be underappreciated. One thin lanky guy with glasses is particular is awesome. Don't know his name, but he always has a genuine smile for guests, and it totally makes your eating experience that much more pleasant. =)
Long story short: The cook here deserves a medal of honor for giving this small corner of the Midwest a delicious place to eat. Pho Factory...
Read moreIt's not often that I find Banh Xeo on a menu, so when I do, I have to indulge as it's one of my favorites. While no one can make them as good as my Mom, the ones at Pho Factory don't disappoint and are worth the long commute for me to enjoy them a few times a year. If you're in a hurry, don't order this- on the menu it's called King Crepes. It takes time to make but it's totally worth the wait! The banh xeo is delicious and huge and comes on a platter loaded with tons of fresh greens, and fish sauce. The pictures never quite convey the true size of these but that's not a normal dinner plate. It's a big platter.
If you've never eaten it before, tear into it with your fingers while it's hot and rip off some crepe, tuck it into a lettuce leaf with some greens and condiments, roll it all up, dip into the fish sauce and take a big bite. (It's impossible to eat this without getting your hands dirty so ask for extra napkins! Also if you're concerned about looking dainty while you eat, this meal is not for you)
Highly recommend. I rarely make these because it's so much work but it's ok because when the mood hits I can always head to the Pho Factory to ease my cravings for a...
