Just wanted to take the time to thank Chris at this location for going the extra mile to make a customer’s day. We went through the drive through to get a Sunday night chicken dinner. Popeye’s was swamped but Chris took the time to ask about our dog, Doug, who was looking in at all of the delicious chicken. We told him Doug was a beagle and he offered Doug a milk bone for being a good boy. Then he offered one more milk bone for the road. We went home and had our dinner, it was great as it always is. Doug was playing with his toys and suddenly got very lethargic and was breathing hard. We ended up going to the emergency vet and discovered he had a fist sized tumor in his stomach and was suffering. We put Doug to sleep on 10/26/25 due to cancer just over 3 hours from taking him through the drive through with us. Chris didn’t have to offer Doug anything, but he took the time to do so, even when they were very busy. Despite Popeyes being a restaurant serving people, Chris made Doug’s day - which happened to be his last day with us. Thank you for taking the time to be kind.

Sat in the drive-thru for 45+ minutes while the employee took and dealt with one order at a time. Could have gone to a packed restaurant, ordered food, ate the food, payed and went home before getting my order taken at a FAST food restaurant. They have this poor elder lady taking every order running the drive thru while damn near 10+ employees watch her struggle. Oh and to top everything off they have the chicken sitting on the expo machine which is incredibly unsanitary and I will be calling the health department. After waiting almost an hour to get my food it was completely wrong. This place should be shut down. UPDATE: Chicken is completely over cooked and not edible. Wouldn’t even give this to a starving animal in fear it would kill it.

I ordered a 3 piece tenders meal at the drive thru. I was missing condiments I specifically asked for and wasn't given a straw. Not a huge deal, but a little annoying. Then I open the box my food was in, and found the chicken tenders resembled strips of jerky, they were so thin and chewy, hardly any meat on them. Also, the portion size of my side seemed to be a little lacking. Not sure if it's bidenomics or shrinkflation, either way Popeyes needs to get it together and do better. By far the worst meal I've ever had at a Popeyes... at least the biscuit was good.

My boyfriend and I went to popeyes on S 70th st on Wednesday 10/2/24 around 4ish. We were greeted by the front person on register and they asked for our order. We proceeded to tell them our order but ended up asking us several times to repeat it so the nice manager by the name of Ron came over and decided to take over finishing getting our order. We ordered a wing tailgate and also the tenders for $25 for our guests waiting at our house. We asked if we could get 2 large drinks instead of the 4 small and he said yes. We were then informed that there was not enough tenders up so Ron asked his back kitchen staff to drop fresh tenders since we were waiting on the wings. Another manager by the name of Barb over heard what Ron was asking and pushed her way in pushing him out of the way to finish our order to tell him that we didn't need the fresh tenders that we could have the 9 old ones plus the 3 fresh ones. Then when we asked for our drinks Ron was going to give us the large cups like we asked but she then proceeded in front of us to tell us no we had to have the mediums because that was not in their policy if we didn't want the smalls. She didn't ask if we wanted anything else with our order and proceeded to say what our total was almost as if she just wanted us out of the way. We were very taken back by her actions that it left a bad taste in our mouths for this store. Ron was an amazing manager and tried to do everything right by the customers but was over thrown by someone who thought they knew best. She was unprofessional and did not act very Managerial like. Then when we got home we were shorted on the tenders and all we got were the 9 old ones. If I am going to be dropping money and have to wait for wings anyways then I should have gotten fresh tenders as well. I was very disappointed in her service and will not be back if she is ever...

I'm not sure why we keep giving them chances. My Mac and cheese was a coagulated blotch of cheese like some microwaved an old cup and dumped it into a newer cup. And I have one Beignets coated in sugar and two naked ones. My husband's fries tasted like they'd been sitting awhile, he said chicken strips were ok though. We've had worse encounters with this place. It's not just the fast food employee shortage either, these guys have been messing up orders way before Covid. But they're nearby, we like Popeye's Chicken, and somehow keep convincing ourselves... Maybe it'll be better this time.

Updated: Working for Door dash now. Got a delivery from them. First thing, they just locked their lobby now. No lobby service anymore. Was one of 3 cars in drive thru. Might as well have been 20. Guy ahead of us was told please hold, and sat there for over 5 minutes to place his order. When we get to the box, immediately asked how can she help us. So yay! Told we're there to pick up doordash, and waited.... And waited. After about 2 minutes we guessed she just assumed we were to drive forward. Started to inch forward, and she comes back on greeting us, and asking how can she help us. Tell her again, we're from Doordash. This time we get an "Oh ok, pull up. We'll have it in a few minutes." Get to window after about 2 or three more minutes. Told some dollar amount, had to remind her again we're Doordash. She goes into the restaurant, comes back in another 2 minutes. Asks us the name again. At least this reminder gets a bag of food for us. Our customer had to wait nearly half an hour because Popeyes Corporate still hasn't fired the whole store and populated it with people who want...

This place has some of the worse group of employees you will find anywhere. McDonalds looks at this location and says "Sheesh their help is bad." Just ask anyone you know who regularly goes here about the service and you will hear all too familiar stories.

About a month ago I do drive-through.

Me - Hi can I have a Chicken sandwich? Employee - "Nope" Me - (puzzled) Oh are you out of them or something? Employee - "No we got em. That be all?" ME - "That's it." Employee - "I'll have your total at the window"

When I get there no apology or anything about the rude service. You'd think that was the worse of it but it just keeps on going from there.

He's talking to another employee. The window is open and says to me "It's like 489 hundred dollars or something like that. I don't know I didn't see the ticket". The total was $4.89. I asked for a receipt which he did not offer as I wanted to verify I was getting charged correctly. He seemed put out at this request. Maybe he was trying to be funny IDK but there's just no other way to slice this other than it was bad service. You want to joke with your buddies, fine. But for people you don't know at a restaurant is really pretty simple. Greet them, be friendly, thank them for coming. The bar is really low here. Clearing it shouldn't be this much of a challenge.

I sent an email to corporate. 2-3 weeks later I get what looked like a canned response that they're looking into it.

It's really simple. The food is generally pretty good but the people who work there are either incompetent or simply could not care less about their job or take any pride in being paid for...
