Extremely disappointed in service today, and that’s an understatement. Waited to be seated for so long a customer leaving even commented, “someone is here somewhere” after finally being seated we were left to sit and wait even longer. After finally being waited on there was no “hello” or anything. While ordering I had a specific request of a side item with my food. Waiter didn’t acknowledge I even spoke. When food came that request of side item wasn’t given so when I asked again for that he turned around walked away shaking his head very noticeably upset with me. I asked then at the very moment “I’m sorry is there a problem” he continued to walk away and said no. Waited again for this side item which I requested and when he finally brought it out he was continuously rude. He made comments on my food, “if it’s too spicy use this” and presented me with a dish of something I’ve never seen nor heard of. He came up to me twice suspiciously and asked if my meal was too spicy. I did not feel comfortable and did not even want to eat my food. I’m more then a regular going in or ordering take out at least once or twice a week. To have this kind of service is beyond frustrating. This gentleman should not have a job in which customer service is required. I will be reaching out to owner and making a complaint as well. Extremely upset with how I was treated today. All over a simple small request which I’ve recieved and asked at every visit. Never an issue, until today. I will NOT be back and support this business due to the extremely rude...
Read moreLove the food at the oven but had a lousy experience there today. As we were finishing our meal we asked for a bit more rice. Both of our meals came with rice but were only given one tray of rice. The response we received from the young man who was not our waiter, and seemed to have a bad attitude, was that we would be charged for more rice, even a small amount more. We declined to order more rice, since we were going to be charged for it, and took the remainder of our meal home with us so we could make our own rice. Not providing us a bit more rice really seemed petty and cheap to us. I had the same meal at the downtown Oven last week and they gave me the same amount of rice as we received for both of us at this location. They probably spent more on the containers we needed to take home the remainder of our meal than it would have cost them to provide us a half of cup more of rice. Then, their system went down that provides the bill and receipts. These things happen, but we waited for at least fifteen minutes to be brought a piece of paper with the charges so we could pay in cash. If we didn’t have the cash we may still be sitting there. They should at least have paper backup so people can pay and be on their way. We were so happy to hear the East Oven was back open, but now I doubt we’ll be back. Go downtown, they are much more accommodating, friendly,...
Read moreWhile I love this place, this was an incredibly disappointing visit. I brought my staff here for lunch for a retreat and the server, who was also the bartender, could not be worse at customer service.
When we arrived, she seemed annoyed we were there even though there was only one table in the house. When we ordered, she said almost less than 2 words and was abrupt and rude. Then, the food took FOREVER. Like 35 minutes for 5 plates in an almost empty restaurant. The food was good as usual.
The last and weirdest thing was when we asked for To-Go boxes. While the server boxed our food, she took rice and naan from random plates and putting it together. The rice in my To go box came from two of my coworkers plates.
I will never bring my staff here again, and I hope the owner or manager looks into retraining this employee, because she was...
