Spikes Beach Bar & Grille — Restaurant in Lincoln

We just had our single worst experience at Spikes. After waiting an unusual amount of time for our waitress to come back and take our orders, we ultimately got our food with multiple errors. Our Ultimate Meat pizza came out as a pepperoni pizza, with sausage and bacon crumbles thrown on top of the cheese as an afterthought. Every time you picked up a slice, all the toppings fell off. My swiss/mushroom burger came out with bacon (not a good flavor combo). I ordered fries but got onion chips. When I asked the waitress to replace them, she did, but we discovered later we were charged for the fries as an extra side. One meal was forgotten completely, so we had to wait for that to be made and delivered. The server apologized for all her errors, but there was no offer to comp anything for our trouble and she acted like everything was beyond her control, including the charge for the fries. Played sand volleyball on a gameday tournament(8/27) and the bartender was the absolute rudest I’ve ever dealt with. I’m a bartender myself and he said, “you should expect to get carded every time.” It was 12:00 and I had been playing volleyball since 8:00 a.m. I had no problem showing my ID 😅 no problem at all….(talked to a couple of other teams and they said the guy was the same way to them) Came at me with every attitude in the book!! This place is great if you like volleyball. There's a large attached gym, mostly for volleyball, it appeared. There's also a large outdoor sand area (hence, the beach) with a few picnic tables for seating and some poles that would probably support volleyball nets in warmer weather. The bar area is very large with lots of tv screens. There is plenty of parking space. The beer was cold and the bartender was friendly enough.
