First I want to say the guy at the front counter did great and is the only reason I gave two stars instead of one. We love taco John's but due to medical and dietary restrictions we have to special order our food to meet these guidelines. As we we're ordering the manager, Greg turned around and yelled "make sure you read his order back Everytime he comes in here we have to redo it and I'm not having it today! ". I was in the far lobby area and I heard this very loudly as did the other customers. He continued to make comments about how different we were being. Terrible customer service! Greg if you think getting paid to leave a couple of items off my order is dificult you should try living with a plethora of diatary restrictions every second of every day. If you are not willing to make our order so we can eat it you should have a sign that specifies no special orders. It is not our fault if you can't follow the directions on the screen and make our order accordingly. We know our order is different and we are always pleasant when we have to have you fix it. You should be apologetic that you had to redo it not annoyed. I do not appreciate being called out for ordering food I can eat due to restictions I can't control. If Greg is ever no longer the manager I hope I know so that I can come back to Taco John's and enjoy my food prepared according to my restictions. Until then I'll have to find somewhere...
Read moreI had a few issues when I went thru drive thru around 9:30 at nite on Nebraska Parkway and 56 in Lincoln Ne. I waited my turn to order and ordered a 6 pack and pound large size for $1 more with half hard and half soft shells with the okra cooked twice to be crisp with a nacho cheese added as the employee suggested it and reminded me I wanted one also I added a churro to finish my order. Waited my turn to get my order, not a terrible long wait at that time of nite. I paid and the help was friendly and gave me my receipt and said everything on my order was correct, moments later I received my order and I did a quick check to ensure all correct. Well upon arrival to my home to eat my meal I realized I forgot to ask for any sauces so unfortunately my food was just okay as they did not offer any sauces when ordering or paying. Then my second let down was that they forgot to give me the nacho cheese sauce they offered me to purchase for my oles not as tasty but they cooked everything perfectly for my order. I would have given a high 4 for my order but the two mishaps made my revue a 4 instead. I will take partial responsibility for missing the sauce packets as feel they should have offered them. Read moreLast time I visited, I went inside to dine in with my three small children. There was hardly anyone dining so I got to pick whatever seat I wanted. I got the kids seated and ordered from the grumpiest person I've experienced in a while. I could tell she hated her job and she was grumbling under her breath with every order I gave her. I don't expect everyone to love their job but maybe she could at least fake it? It is a business after all and the person you want taking your order should seem like they want you to be there. After that she or the back cooks got my order wrong. I didn't really want to go back up to tell her about my wrong order so I waited till she got busy with something else to ask a different person.
