Waffle House — Restaurant in Lincoln

Called to place a to go order and was told we have to come in to place an order because they were busy and couldn’t take orders over the phone but if we came in we could order to go. We decided to wait for an hour and try again and we were told the same thing. Something about company policy when they’re at full occupancy. (We drove over bobtail which is only a mile away but we didn’t want to be in the way long over here which was the reason we tried to call in an order to go) they aren’t even busy. This is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard of. We can’t take your order over the phone because we’re busy but if you walk in we can take your order.. come on.. seriously? They aren’t even busy. Sounds like they just didn’t want to take our order period. I usually tip good on all of my to go orders because I use to be a waitress. They won’t be getting a tip today and we won’t be back to this...

We ordered Patty melt yhey are on texas toast like the pic says on menu that i clearly told my waitress snd even pointed to it , my daughter ordered same cause we really like them at all waffle houses, it came out in fair time to our table but both plates were cheeseburgers, not patty melts, i called waitress over and she mumbled something i said if i wanted cheeseburgers we would have went to burger king next door i said we will go ahead and eat these but i think we shouldn't have to pay for what we didt otder i said send manager over which took about 30 min i explained to him he said he would take one of our drinks off the 25 dollor ticket thats all he could do after getting a little iterated he said he make ticket 18 bucks i thru a 20 down and we left im very disappointed with this and service was bad also, waffle houses are Great i think just stear away from...

I just so happened to show up to Waffle House at the same time as my little sister was going into work so the manager, Jennifer, assumed i was there to “hangout” while she was working when i was sitting drinking my decaf coffee and minding my business not bothering my sister or anyone else so she made the comment “she’s not hanging out the whole shift”. ma’am, i have a child at home and i was in town getting her meds when i decided i wanted a coffee, not to be a bother to your employees. from the second i walked in she was in what seemed to be a bad mood and was not welcoming what-so-ever. so believe me, even if i was a high school student w nothing but time on my hands, i wouldn’t be hanging out in such a negative environment. please...
