Waffle Shop — Restaurant in Lincoln

We had breakfast here for the first time on Sunday, 5 March. We waited about 20 minutes for a table, but I personally think it was worth the wait. When we were seated we were given a good amount of time to review the menu and decide what we wanted, their menu isn’t huge, but they have a lot of great things to offer. It was hard deciding if we wanted breakfast or lunch. Our waitress was friendly and checked on us and the surrounding tables a good amount of times even though it was real busy. We appreciated it. The hostesses were friendly, and prompt with getting people checked in and seated as well. Once we ordered our food, we maybe waited 5 minutes for everything to come out, and everything came out hot and so fresh looking. The biscuits and gravy are absolutely delicious and the portions for everything seemed to be huge and so filling. We really enjoyed our food and would definitely come back again, everything had great flavor and was plated really nicely! To top it all off the restaurant was clean and seemed to be run really efficiently and they are very military friendly here, we were asked if we were military and given a military discount which we really appreciated as well, we look forward to coming back here again sometime soon. Food was terrible. It was cold and didn’t taste fresh at all. I ordered the waffle Benedict. The hollandaise sauce was gloopy and nasty, eggs were overcooked and everything was bland. The service was bad too. We had like four waitresses serving us. I’d tell one waitress I wanted to order something different. She said she’d bring me a menu. Never got the menu and another waitress showed up with a different serving of the same dish I originally ordered. When I finally got to change my order(a steak sandwich) the wait time was ridiculous.
