Alma's Bridal Boutique is a hidden gem in Lincoln, California. Alma made me feel comfortable and at home from the moment I walked through the door. She listened attentively as I explained what I wanted, what I did not want, and my general vision. She immediately understood what I was looking for and pointed me in the direction of several gowns that she thought would work. She had a wide selection of gowns in the style and price point that I specified. She reassured me not to worry about the size of the dresses on the rack, reminding me that she would custom tailor any gown to fit my body and my needs. She offered helpful advice about fit, tailoring, and which fabric shades she thought would best flatter my skin tone. In the end, I tried on ten dresses and I loved every single one of them. I ended up with a stunning, custom gown - uniquely tailored to my exact wants and needs. The gown that I chose off the rack was a size 16; Alma perfectly sized it down to a size 2 to fit me. The gown that I chose was originally sleeveless and had an illusion neck bodice. At my request, Alma transformed the dress into an off-the-shoulder gown and removed the illusion netting. I ended up with a beautifully fitted, custom gown that no one else in the world has - all for a fraction of the cost of what I would had paid at one of the big box bridal stores. Alma is a master at her craft and went above and beyond to help me feel happy and at ease. I am so happy with her services, and I felt so confident and beautiful on my wedding day. I give Alma and Alma's Bridal Boutique my highest...
Read moreWalked-in extremely excited to support a small business in Lincoln with such good reviews. As a newly engaged bride to be I was so excited and literally this was the very first experience I had with any bridal boutique ever…and I’m leaving unimpressed and honestly bummed out. Unfortunately I was misinformed and didn’t know it was by appointment only. My issue is with whoever attended us. Not the appointment scheduling, as I can understand it’s small staff and even appreciated the effort to specialize each brides moments.
We Walked in only to be turned away and Felt like we actually bothered her by simply coming in to inquire about trying on styles or , when I would be able to schedule my own appointment. Told her it was my very first experience and just wanted information and she was just dismissive. Mentioned she had nothing for petite brides like myself… I don’t know much about bridal but I know the dresses on the rack you try on as is and then order to your size…It just made me feel uncomfortable mentioning i was so small. We left and will not be returning. Sad because it was such a cute spot and I wanted to support another Fellow woman of color in Lincoln.
Will try another place. Maybe she just had a bad day but still I didn’t feel welcome or helped. Hoping for...
Read moreFinding a wedding dress is a nightmare but Alma took away all my fear and anxiety. I tried David's Bridal and I was treated poorly there. I told them that I didn't want to spend a fortune and so I was given only hideous bargain frocks to try on there. I was so depressed by how awful I looked in those dresses that I was scared for my wedding day. Alma's Bridal Boutique was way different. She greeted me the moment I walked in and was real about pricing. She told me that I would need to spend at least $1,200.00 for a wedding dress and I listened. She picked out something she thought I would like and it was the first dress I tried on that I actually felt like a beautiful bride in. I ended up buying the dress. She and I stayed in touch and had several fittings to make sure everything was perfect when I walked away with the finished product. Alma is a master seamstress and a lovely person to do...
