I was really excited to try this place. Sadly I was disappointed. My wife and I tried this place on Sunday. She ordered a chicken sandwich. Which was ok. I ordered the brisket and pork belly with potato salad and ranch beans. I was surprised when I was brought pulled pork which wasn't pulled very well. The potato salad was extremely firm as in hard. I did not enjoy it. The brisket and ranch beans were perfect. Absolutely delicious. However my beer and wife's cider were totally flat. Then the bus boy kept asking if we were done eating as I'm in mid bite. I felt very rushed because they kept walking by and asking if we were thru.

We sat down immediately after walking in and ordered our drinks. Our order was taken 20 minutes after and our food came 20 minutes after that. Food was extremely disappointing. The smokehouse hash supposedly comes with 3 bbq meats. As you can see in the picture it was hard to identify or even taste any meat at all in my tiny serving. The texas beny was ok but the brisket was mediocre at best with hardly any salty or smokey flavor at all. Reminded me of bland roast beef. I expected more form this place. The staff and cooks need to do better. I'll probably give it another shot for a bbq lunch but will not be going back for breakfast 😬

Texas collides with California as Hops and Hogs serves up tasty tri-tip, brisket, ribs, pork belly and smoked salmon. The flavors and techniques at Hops and Hogs are classic with Phil Woodman stoking the smoker with the rich aroma of country "Texas-inspired" BBQ. Every bite of the brisket was devoured. But both the potato salad and coleslaw tasted bland. Cornbread would be a better substitute for the flour tortillas. The country smokehouse is located in old town Lincoln. This isn't a great date spot, because of the cost. It is a great spot to grab some BBQ if you're in Lincoln. IG: SACRAMENTOHONEY

My wife and I went for breakfast this morning. We went early to beat the weekend breakfast rush. I have eaten at the location before when it was a different breakfast place. I like the way that the decor has been changed, and that it is a smoke house feel. Although we went for breakfast, we checked it out for lunch or dinner on a different day. The place has a bar, and also live music some of the days of the week. I had pork belly and eggs, and my wife had beef brisket and eggs. We made a couple of substitutions to our breakfast, which they cheerfully changed. Both of our meals were great. I am a backyard smoker, so I know a little about smoking meats. The brisket we had was the 2nd best(mine being #1),we have had. The brisket was flavorful and moist. This place beats the other smoking restaurants and food trucks in the area. The pork belly was great also. It was crispy outside and moist on the inside. Both are served without being drowned in sauce to cover imperfections. They are served with BBQ sauce on the side. The BBQ sauce is also good, buy I like my brisket and pork belly dry, without sauce, to get the flavor of spices and meat. A note for people saying the food is bland, it might not be seasoned to your liking, but I felt it was seasoned well. It's hard to season food to match everyone's taste. Breakfast is currently be served on weekends before 1130 AM, then it's lunch.

Our server was Susana. We were greeted immediately upon arriving, and escorted to our booth. Susana was very attentive to us with coffee and water right away. Susana answered our questions, or asked the owner about our questions. Susana was great. The owner stopped by our table to check on us also. I was able to talk to the owner about is smoking process for the meats. He was very knowledgeable about smoking.

This is a local family owned and run business. I would suggest that when you come in, have some patients and understanding as the is a family business and not a large chain business. We will definitely be back to try all the other smoked items. They also sell smoked meat trays and...

I had time to kill while my tires/brakes were being done up the street. I decided to try this place out first time. I ordered a beef and cheddar sandwich with fries opted for the salad instead foe $3 more, should have stuck with the fries… The sandwich arrived with the ‘salad’ on two tiny metal trays. A few leaves of iceberg a sprinkle of cheese some chopped tomatoes and some Very hard bacon crumbles that together struggled to fill half of the tiny metal tray, and what may have been a tablespoon of dressing in a metal cup. The sandwich was smaller than the palm of my hand in diameter. The beef was dry, save for the mini squirt of bbq sauce and watery cheese. I had a beer to wash it down. Didn’t bother eating the bun, the watery cheese turned it to mush. Went to the cashier to pay, thought she said $24, it was actually $34. I looked back over to my table at the mushy buns and the dry salad remains wondering if there had been some mistake. I will say the best part was the beer. 1st...
