My friends and I decided to come here because we wanted a cute dinner spot and it was definitely the perfect choice! The inside of the restaurant is so cute and decorated, and the fun Mexican music adds to the great lively atmosphere. Sadly they don't have any flavored water like horchata but the coke comes in a glass bottle which was cool. We were brought complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were warm and delicious and the salsa was nice and chunky and tasted so good!
We ordered the steak fajitas, quesabirria tacos, and I got 3 tacos - camarones, peacado, and salmon. My friends definitely liked their dishes. I'm a little disappointed the fajitas don't come with any side additions you normally get like pico, guac, cheese, sour cream, tomatoes.. they don't even come with tortillas! Just rice and beans. My tacos were amazing. The shrimp and salmon were my favorite. The shrimp were seasoned so perfectly and topped with arugula, pickled red onion, and a garlic jalapeño aioli. The salmon had a tropical pico which had bits of mango in there, crispy onion strings, and chipotle aioli. The pescado comes with the fish of the day which at the time was grouper. I didn't care too much for it.
For dessert we got the flan and the churro sundae. The flan was so creamy and delicious. It tasted a bit like a cheesecake. The churro sundae was good too. It was just vanilla and chocolate ice cream topped with 3 churros so it wasn't anything too special but it's definitely photo worthy!
The servers are very nice and one man kept coming by to check on us to see if we were okay. He was probably the manager but we felt very welcomed and taken care of by their staff. Excellent customer service. The food was great but how we were treated was the cherry on top and we will definitely be back. Especially since there are so many taco options that...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Fat Rosie's Taco & Tequila Bar in Lincolnshire, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! The vibrant and welcoming atmosphere immediately set the tone for a fantastic meal.
I started with a refreshing beer that paired perfectly with the meal. The highlight of my visit was definitely the carne asada tacos. Each taco was bursting with fresh, authentic flavors, and the carne asada was perfectly seasoned and tender. The combination of toppings added just the right amount of crunch and zest, making each bite a delight.
I sat at the bar and was truly impressed by the level of service. The bartender was attentive and made sure I had everything I needed, but I never felt rushed. It was clear that they genuinely wanted me to enjoy my time at the restaurant, and I appreciated the relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
In addition to the fantastic food and top-notch service, the selection of tequilas and cocktails was impressive. The margaritas being enjoyed by other patrons looked expertly crafted, and I'll definitely be trying one on my next visit.
Overall, Fat Rosie's Taco & Tequila Bar is a gem in Lincolnshire. Whether you're looking for a casual meal with friends or a place to celebrate a special occasion, this is the spot. I can't recommend it highly enough and can't wait to return for another memorable...
Read moreThis is THE place for birthday celebrations! I’ve been here at least 5 times in the past 6 months with different friends every time, and all of them had a blast. The interior of the restaurant is bright, clean and filled with cultural arts—everybody is friendly, especially our great server Ricardo, and the vibe was just on point. The first time I came here was to celebrate my friend’s birthday on a Friday night. Okay, I admit, it was crowded and loud…. But it just fit with ambiance there. I feel like almost every table was celebrating a birthday. We tried most of their signature margaritas, and they were delicious. They gave tequila shots on the house for birthday tables. One of the tables next to our’s had a big party and they sent them with tequila shots on a plane/flight, which I think is cool. I would said the food were just ok, but not crummy. For desert we ordered the ice cream with churros and little fireworks while the staff brought a sombrero for the birthday person and sung the birthday song (yes, with whistle in between 😆) If you want a more quiet time, I would suggest to maybe come during lunch or off hours. One big plus that I just found out recently was that they have a nice big patio in the back facing a big pond. Overall, fun restaurant, come and try their cocktails and enjoy the back patio during nice weather, oh and have a birthday...
