000 STARS! I work for GrubHub and had an order come in with the Lincolnton location, mind I was in Iron Station when I got the call. it took me 10 minutes to get there. I go in the store to pick up and notice the order was not ready so I began waiting of course. As I walk in though, there's a lady standing in the front (from the drive thru) that hadn't received one of her items in her bag. They get her her item. She leaves. I then notice there's a Door Dash guy that's been waiting on his order from before I got there. He's frustrated from waiting (he said he was). Then another (older lady) comes in and is complaining about her fries being "straight salt". She showed me her food when she walked in as we began talking. It takes a bit but they get the Door Dash guy his order and fix the older lady's food....before she gets her order fixed she points out to me that they are still serving other people in the drive thru those same shriveled, salty fries. Both the lady and Door Dash guy leaves. I stood a bit longer then finally decided to ask the blonde lady (who's walking around like she's completely clueless of what she's doin) what was taking so long. BUT HERE IS HOW MY ORDEAL HAPPENED. I said,"Excuse me?" No answer, so I said "Excuse me" again, to the blonde lady. I asked her,"how much longer is this order going to take, I've driven 10 minutes to get here to pick up this order plus I've been waiting in here 5-10 minutes and it's still not done". Then I stated "this is ridiculous". Mind, I wasn't rude, I wasn't mean. I didn't fuss, yell, or use any profane language either. She walked off and the next thing I know is a bigger, black lady come walking up to the counter and started telling me that I didn't need to come in there being rude to the workers, That they were understaffed and other stuff. I TRIED to tell her I wasn't being rude. I had asked her (the blonde) a question then tried explaining what I had asked/said to her. She would NOT stop talking over me to hear my side or to even try to let me explain myself in any way, shape, or form. I got frustrated with her being unprofessional because she just refused to hush long enough to hear me out so it got a lil heated between the two of us. Mind I still haven't used any profanity, but now I'm mad and told her to "kiss my butt". That's only because she kept talking over me, NONSTOP! I'm then told by her that "she can tell me to leave." I told her I was getting my order. THEN some tall white guy comes out and says, "let's talk". I'm like "ok", but then am informed I need to step outside to talk???!!!!!! So we step outside and I try explaining to him I didn't get smart with or was rude to the blonde lady, but he's not helping the situation in ANY way. I felt as if I was talking to an incompetent idiot. On top of having a pacemaker and Congestive Heart Failure, my blood pressure is through the roof and my chest and BOTH arms are hurting now. Then a really sweet girl keeps trying to let me know she has my order ready (she's standing close to the doors INSIDE the facility) so I go to open the door and the guy keeps telling me no. So I finally wave the girl to bring it to me at the door. So the really sweet girl comes to the door to hand me the order finally so I take it and tell the guy I'll be calling Corporate over this. He says,"go ahead"?!! I'm thinking "REALLY"?!!! I delivered my order and went home to try to get my heart rate to come down because I felt as if my heart was going to bust. I've not felt good since. I'm really debating on taking this a step further if something is not done because this was BEYOND UNPROFESSIONAL and BEYOND UNCALLED FOR. I was treated this way for asking a question. If the blonde can't take someone asking WHY an order is taking so long and the phrase "this is ridiculous" then she doesn't need to be working with the public. It was a simple question and statement. She could have answered herself... have already reported this incident to GrubHub as well, right...
Read moreThere are much better managed Bojangles locations, visit an alternative restaurant.
Typically stop by on my way to/from Charlotte twice a month or so. However my most recent visit ensured I will stay away. It's Sunday, gets busy, I understand this. I'm patient, don't mind waiting for my food. However:
If the restaurant is open for dine-in seating/takeout during the COVID crisis, maybe take down the signs stating the restaurant is not open for dine-in seating/takeout. Also unlock both entrances/exits to the restaurant, not just one entrance/exit. I wonder if that's a fire hazard.
If you state that you require masks to enter the restaurant, maybe ask the patrons to put their masks on. Half of those standing in line did not have masks. Every other restaurant or store doesn't hesitate to ask people to cover their mouth/nose (when not eating) to receive service. Heck, it says it at the entrance.
If you're trying to be compliant with COVID regulations regarding face coverings, perhaps the employees should cover their nose and mouths. From what I observed only about half of the employees had their mouth and nose covered, with the rest having only their mouth covered or no mask on at all. These are the folks preparing your food after all.
The order was not correct. Twice. Ordered a 3 piece meal with two sides, charged me for it to. Food provided was a two piece meal with one side. After standing for a few minutes patiently at the takeout/pickup counter I had to flag down someone and explain that I was missing a third of my meal. Gave me one of the missing sides and asked if that was it. No, ordered a three piece meal I'd like three pieces as is on the ticket. Finally was annoyed when I also asked for a spork for one of the sides...there were none (even individually packaged utensils) in the dining area and of course one wasn't provided.
I don't know if Bojangles HQ takes COVID regulations seriously (I obviously do, have seen too many people succumb to this terrible disease) but this location certainly doesn't. And to top it all off they still screwed up the order of a simple meal one customer ordered.
I love Bojangles food but in the future I'll be better off traveling down the road a bit, enduring a few minutes drive to visit...
Read moreI am a Dasher. My most recent experience is in this capacity although I HAD intended to come back and get dinner for my family, and they messed that up for me. I had a coupon thru Doordash. I couldn't afford it without that coupon which means I couldn't order in store. I HAD to order ahead thru Doordash. This is important later. I want to start out by saying the gentleman with the curly hair on register was great. I think he may be a shift lead or manager..However... the young woman helping him does not belong in a customer facing position. She kept skipping the Doordash orders to help later orders that were placed in store. This is despite the fact that she had 4 Dashers that had waited their turn in line for over 20 min each, waiting for multiple orders each. We had to contact Doordash and have THEM call the store to find out why we were being left waiting.. When the manager(?) tried to get her back onto our orders, she kept talking back to him and walking away. When she did manage to finish a DD order, she would just put it on the shelf (behind the counter) without checking if any of us were waiting for it. It took so long to get my order, that I missed the cutoff to order dinner for myself and my family. I had to drop that order off before I could cash out and order my food. I spent 3 hours dashing today to save up enough to bring home a nice Thanksgiving dinner to my family. She ruined that for me, and she did it with the worst attitude I've ever seen from a fast food employee. (And that's saying something) When I finally got my food, my exact words to her were "thank you but the next time you talk back, you may want to lower your voice. We can hear you." She scoffed, rolled her eyes at me, and walked away. Frankly, I'm shocked she has a job if this is a normal example of...
