Waffle House — Restaurant in Lincolnton

It was absolutely HORRIBLE! worst customer service everrr,it was after midnight on a now a wed morn we just left the hospital stopping to eat real quick and their was two lady servers and one man cook,the two lady's was so loud and personal over one getting frustrated and the other can't handle when she does and so on and the cook seriously burnt BOTH orders of bacon,literally fried my eggs to the Burt point and the waffle came out soooo black that u could smell the burnt on it! Insane and he even knew it,recooked the bacon and fried it to the black point of it crumbling into 100s of pieces,well that's not it he was so drugged up his pupils looked like a dime seriously! Well that's still not it he stopped remaking my order to freaking smoke a cigarette didn't bother to wash his hands when returning to cook my food,so we had enough asked for a box to go so we could give our 26.00 in food to our dogs since we couldn't eat it it was so nasty the grits was so clumped up in quarter size clips it was gross well she remade the waffle and still didn't make it as I ordered she made it plain so we had enough and left well it was just my husband and I and they over charged us by almost 6 bucks! It was horrible! Then the female decided to hollar across the store she deserved to smoke the rest of her last cigarette while the other lady sat down beside the jukebox and played on her phone, with customers in the store waiting...

We haven't been to Waffle House in along time for various reasons. Needless to say there were a few things that were disappointing. I know & understand the craziness these employees deal with, but a staff person getting an attitude for a customer asking for their bacon to not be burnt isn't ok. Another customer found glass in their grits. 1 staff member tossed the whole container of grits out, which is expected & required but while doing so she stated the grits were probably made the night before or when ever...I was shocked. My order included bacon...go figure it was burnt & not edible. We had to request new order be redone. Tea was aweful... I couldn't drink it...it had gone bad....We weren't give a check, we never saw a ticket..we paid our ticket, but don't know for sure if we were charged for the reorder of bacon & terrible (soured) tea. Our order was ready quickly, my hashbrowns, hamburger were good. Travis had to request chili...that was ordered to be on his hashbrowns, double hashbrowns weren't doubled... Some of these issues may have happened if the place had been majorly busy, but they were not. A quick trip out just the two of us, and it was lacking...

So this was a unique experience.... I can't give a 1 star review and a 5 at the same time so I'm going with a 3.

Saturday night outing for eggs and bacon. The staff were having some conflicts which gave one particular employee a chance to really shine. Forgot to get a name, but he was the only black man working so I hope this review makes it to his manager. Apparently there was one lady whose breaks were putting extra work onto her coworkers, or at least they felt that was the case. I cant say for sure if she did or didnt stick them with extra work, but I can say that she was very upset about being accused of it.

If you wonder how I know it is because myself and my ex husband had to be taken care of by the incredibly nice and professional man from start to finish. He set us up, took our orders, cooked our food, and handled our drinks entirely by himself. I dont know which part of that was actually his job but I am certain that all of it can't have been his job. Most importantly he did it all and was cheerful while he did it. I will visit again if I see him...
