Along my lifetime i tried a wide range of Chinese buffets and restaurants, since Chinese culture is really blended into my home Venezuela, (the same way that Mexican culture has become part of American Culture), which means that I have a big perception and understanding of these type of cuisine.
I have only a year living in the US, and since then I’ve been trying to connect and find a place that somehow matches the level of quality and wholesomeness that Chinese restaurants back home had, I’ve tried pretty much every one in Dallas, Tyler, Houston but somehow it wasn’t the same.
So one day I came across this place, and since then it became a space for me and my family to share old memories and connect with the old days.
The level of quality of every dish is unmatched, by far is way better than every other restaurant in its segment, the owners and staff are super friendly and always take care of me and my family, with joy and great attitude, the waitresses are trilingual and always make sure we are having a pleasant experience.
I honestly can’t recommend this place enough, my only complaint would be that they haven’t opened a second restaurant in Tyler, I work 6 days a week, and sadly, I’m forced to eat in the restaurants of the area due to the rush of my routine, we need another one in...
Read moreFood was good but service is strange to say the least. Watch your waitress. The waitress brought me sweet tea after asking for unsweet. I nicely asked for unsweet. She get's my glass and takes it away to an area not the tea refill area. She then, goes to a lady at another table that has an empty glass. I watch my waitress as I go for another plate. She uses the other ladies glass to refill my tea handing it to me. I'm like no, my glass I over there. "Can you get me a new glass"? So, she then pours the contents of the other lady's glass with my refilled unsweet tea into a new glass. I said , " nah". She started to explain something to me and I said , "I don't know what you are saying but can I have a new glass with tea. She hands it to me. As I walk away she starts screaming at a coworker. When I go to pay, there is a 10 year old girl working the register. Not helping, "working". I asked if she liked her job. She couldn't even force a smile as well....child labor is a rough ride. I really liked the food though. I think I will return. I'll just get a...
Read moreNOSTALGIA, when I tell you I used to religiously go here each Friday with my grandma for years of my life. The food reminds me of the first time I had it, and each table or booth I remember stared at it from different angles, and the decor is to die for. You walk in and right as you do. Hunger and creativity hit you like a bus of happiness. The owners are always TOP TEIR and kind. love them they are just amazing.
I am biased because of the love and nostalgia that I experienced here. And I will die on the hill of the cuisine being exquisite. But that's what a restaurant is supposed to do. It's not just the great food but curating an atmosphere of fellowship with the people you care about with food to associate the great times but the relationships you continue to hold. Making this my nostalgia comfort restaurant. Love you,...
