Baldi Cafe — Restaurant in Linden

What a great find! I had not eaten anything today and I was looking around for something close to where I was. After popping on the Marriott eat around town app this place showed it was the closest to me. After looking over the menu online I thought the prices seemed very reasonable and the reviews were great.

As I walked up to the building they had a very nice little outside area for seating. I chose to sit inside and was greeted right away when I walked in the door. The gentlemen of the counter was very friendly and had a fantastic attitude. Not sure if he is a manager or the owner but was definitely a pleasure to interact with.

I ordered a pupusa and Cuban sandwich. The pupusas was delicious! The Cuban sandwich was very good as well. I would have liked to the pork to be a little more juicy but it complimented the sandwich very well. The fries were basic fries that you would get anywhere else.

Was very impressed all of this only cost me $16 and they didn't do a bunch of additional fees like many places around. They do charge the credit card convenience fee but I understood. My husband and I stopped a Sunday afternoon for lunch , it was summer time , it was not a super hot day so we decided to sit in the patio to eat , each table have umbrella however they had additional umbrellas to accommodate a few tables that were getting hot by the sun the manager/ owner and I another lady that seem to be a manger as were super nice . The manager even came out a few time to make sure costumers were getting served . While we were eating another family came and proceeded to move the umbrella that we were using leaving us exposed to the sun . Without waiting for the waitress to attend or to bring an additional umbrella . The waitress did not make an effort to look for another umbrella or to sit them at a different table . It was a bad customer service experience on the waitress behalf . Other than that , the drinks are good , I had a tamal it was also good but I was unable to enjoy my empanada arreglada . Okay so the food here is great every time I order the food is good , although I’m giving them three starts because LITERALLY EVERYTIME I ORDER for delivery I have an issue , it legit will take me 20 mins to put my order in on the phone because there is no one that works there that perfects in English and Spanish , so I’m stuck having to repeat myself a million times on top of that when I asked to speak to someone else the lady got an attitude and she told me NO , although she was still struggling to take my order , the people there know who I am I order from them all the time and whoever this lady was on the phone needs some tips on how to approach the people better on the phone , I’m very disappointed with the service I...
