Ms. Eva at the order pick up counter needs to be retrained on her customer service skills, especially since she works at the customer service desk. Today I walked into Target with the hopes of picking up an online order. When I walked up to the counter, Ms. Eva was spraying a disinfectant into the air, all over the counters, organizing carts, and other materials. As a result, I briefly stood there before I realized I was not going to be acknowledged. Instead she continued to spray the disinfectant into the air, on the counters, push carts around, and sort out other materials not related to directly servicing the customer in front of her. As my time was limited and I needed to quickly remove my infant child away from these fumes being sprayed into the air I said good morning to initiate our interaction, but unfortunately it did not help. Ms. Eva continued cleaning and sorting while I again proceeded to wait. When Ms. Eva finally did decide to perform the service part of her job, she was less than helpful. It’s quite frustrating that as a paying customer and a frequent patron of this Target that I encounter service such as Ms. Eva’s. The customer service counter should ALWAYS be dedicated to servicing customers first. A simple acknowledgement when I walked up to the counter would have sufficed and would have made the encounter much better, particularly since I was quickly trying to pick up formula for my infant child that I had with me. Ms. Eva should be retrained or relocated to a position where she does not need to interact...

I went to the only staffed register (rather than self-checkout) because I had a locked item that obviously needed employee assistance. The cashier, who was very clearly standing there helping another man, worked in silence as I unloaded all my items onto the conveyor belt. Not a word. Only after I finished did another employee (a woman who wasn’t even behind the register) decide to inform me the lane was “closed.” I said I needed a worker to unlock the box for me so I can get my item, and neither of them said anything. They watched as I had to place all my items back in my basket to walk to self checkout. Thankfully, the nice older man who is usually watching over the self checkout area helped me with no hesitation when I called him over.
The lane was closed to customers, apparently, but not to her. Because immediately after turning me away, she began placing her own items on the belt and let the same cashier ring her up. So the register wasn’t closed… it was just closed to paying customers. Make it make sense.
I work in retail myself, and even on the worst days, I’d never treat customers like they’re inconveniencing me just by showing up. Common sense and basic courtesy seem to be in short supply here. If this is the level of “professionalism” being modeled, I’d strongly suggest retraining or replacing the staff altogether. The bar is...

Updated review of 5 stars to 2 stars from 06/2/22:
There is an old male who works the front end and likes to approach children to converse, without asking parents' permission. He gets extremely upset when you do not allow him to talk to your young children. When he approached my 2-year-old sitting in the shopping cart, I told him to back up and he dismissed me. He continued to ask her questions and tried to give her a sticker on his hand. When I told him no again, he started threatening me by gossiping out loud to a female employee about how he "hasn't gotten into a fight in a long time." Also said, "some women deserve it but you can't do much as a man". It is never appropriate for a grown man to approach a little girl and offer her anything, especially without asking the parent first. If the parent tells you no, it is extremely strange to get upset over that unless there were bad intentions. I formally complained on 06/3/22 about this employee and currently waiting...
