I'd give 5 stars for the regular staff and their merchandise; the principal staff are always helpful and pleasant, and they have a good turnover of goods. Unfortunately, I have to take off 2 stars for their management's poor customer service. On my last visit in mid-December, I came across several jackets in the Men's section locked with a security cable. When I asked for assistance, a young lady was very helpful, unlocking them and standing by to assist. I tried on one item in particular, and it seemed to fit, but it had no price, brand, fabric content, or even a size tag - in fact I was really only drawn to it because it had a double zipper, but I couldn't tell if it was real leather or ultrasuede, like the one next to it. Worse, it had a hole in the side. When I asked, the young lady stated she would price it $64 like the rest on the rack, since it had absolutely nothing more to go on, and I could pick it up at the register. When I got to the register, the price tag on it was $550(?!) When I asked what changed, a lady in a head scarf came over and kept repeating loudly, "That is the price!" Apparently she was some sort of manager, but it was as if battle lines were drawn because I asked the question. I tried not to respond in kind and asked, what was the price based on? What brand was it? She stated it was an online return and kept repeating, "That is the price!" Okay, that seemed reasonable, if it was a return, then she could provide details, no? No. She provided no info that could allow a shopper to make a purchasing decision. She couldn't tell what brand it was, what size, if it was actually leather or just ultrasuede... all she kept repeating was, "That is the price!" I didn't need the yelling, or the stank, confrontational attitude, but didn't want to take it out on the poor clerk ringing me up, since he was caught in the middle. I simply made a mental note to share my story and...
Read moreAlways love Marshall's, I especially like a couple of Marshall stores down here in the South Jersey area, Burlington County, a little further down NJ here..I was visiting in town there yesterday, introduced my son to your stores! The stores here are somewhat larger, for sure kept a bit cleaner, but I still love Marshalls. The bigger the stores, the more deals I find..!!! I was in yesterday, looking for shoes, I see it in all the stores starting a year or two back. The only complaint that I've ever had is that stores men's shoe department is almost completely gone, even the clothes for men is getting smaller? Men shop as well, as women...not as often ,,, but we shop. I used to buy all my shoes and clothes there. It's unfortunate that I dont get to see my friends on occasion shopping , but I will while making new friends.. I now use Burlington coat for my men's things lately..Otherwise the store is a completly great shopping experience, you can always get nice deal there!! WHY Pay for a name brand in a small boutique store, when you can shop at Marshall's get the same products most of the time for less the 1/3 the price...thanks "Marshalls"...keep up the good deals pls. Try increasing the mens shoes line...
Read moreMy most recent visit at the location was a few days ago. I had to speak to the manager who was named Stephanie Z. She was unprofessional and rude. The store needs to train their managers to know how to handle customers and a big lesson on professionalism.
On 9/3/20 I was greeted by two wonderful and friendly ladies in the front. I had my small/medium sized dog with me. As I got to the dog department I was followed and approached by a woman. She approached me in a rude, loud, nasty manner. She asked me if my dog was a service dog and I said no. She then said something where I had to tell her in a normal tone to not yell at me. She said with a attitude no I’m not yelling at you. She then let me get a cart to put my dog. As I was walking to get the cart her and an associate was looking at me which was awkward. Later on I found out that woman was the manager of the store. The manager should just kindly approach customers in a nice way even you guys are saying digs aren’t allowed at the store. It was embarrassing. I hope that store has a training on how to speak to customers cause that wasn’t called for. I usually go to this location and never had an...
