I came in here this morning to pick up a pizza. Alone as a single female. I ordered from the guys standing behind the bar and they told me to come back and get my food in 10 minutes (which i did) when I came back no one behind the bar even acknowledged me, I sat there and waited another 10 minutes and they completely ignored me and didn’t even try to go check if my food was ready or say sorry about the wait give me just a second, to make matters worse I’m 10 weeks pregnant and so hungry I’m ready to eat a cow. They even looked me dead in the face knowing I was there, one of the men behind the bar even gave me a nasty attitude by purposely bumping into my chair when he went to serve everyone else their food. I don’t know if it was because I’m black or they saw a woman come in by herself so they thought it was a open opportunity for them to be nasty without consequences or maybe they were salty I left them a $2 tip for the pickup order but those men behind the bar are nasty. I waited so long the cook came out from the back his self asking me if it was my pizza because he saw it was sitting there for so long, shoutout to the cook for his good customer service but everyone behind that bar needs to be replaced or have a serious lesson on treating all customers with respect, I don’t recommend this place…. At all. Food was okay but not good enough to make me want to come back here and deal with...
Read moreI found out about this place from Barstool. Dave gave the pizza an 8.2, so I put this place on my list. I finally got around to trying it and I was definitely NOT disappointed!
We ordered a large pie with pepperoni and basil. The pizza was excellent. Thin, crispy and loaded with flavor. VERY good. We tried the fried calamari, and while they were slightly overcooked, they were tasty and included a generous amount of tentacles - which we're huge fans of.
Service was awesome. Sadly I didn't get our server's name, but she was also tending bar, and even though it was busy, she handled everything with ease and was very pleasant and attentive. I would highly recommend her!
The atmosphere at the Linwood Inn Tap House is stellar! No matter where you sit - you'll have a great view of whatever game is on - TV's are everywhere. The bar is a great size, and there appeared to be plenty of dining areas.
The only negative I can give this place is the parking lot. It's way too small to accommodate the number of patrons here, so be prepared to try to find street parking.
Overall, I really loved the Linwood Inn Tap House. If I lived closer, this would definitely be my go-to bar/restaurant. Absolutely a must-try if you haven't been here.
I'll definitely be returning.......
Read moreOur initial plan didn’t work out, and had to think quickly. My colleague and I passed this establishment dozens of times, located on South Wood Avenue in Linden. The building where the Linwood Inn Tap House Pizza and Grill stands can be traced back to 1882 and is your quintessential neighborhood sports bar.
Upon arrival, as first-timers for some of us, the walls are lined with pine filled with fitting memorabilia, and the large bar has a funky, haphazard shape with their 40 TVs.
The staff accommodated us without reservations in a cozy dining room off from the bar to enjoy a holiday lunch yesterday.
It’s an extensive pub food menu that has some surprisingly tasty curveballs of its own featuring their best hamburger, pizza, and wings around. We decided on the dozen chicken wings with Frankie Chipotle Lime and Roasted Garlic Parmesan, Greek salad, French onion soup, shrimp tacos, and chicken tacos, to name a few.
Food was fresh and not salty. Wings were crispy, and both sauces we got tasted great. Portions were huge and the price reasonable. Service was efficient, and our friendly server was Bobbi.
Great place for food with a comfortable and casual vibe, which we...
