Yaad Pot Restaurant & Catering — Restaurant in Linden

Edit 12/19/24 ~ Wanted to give Yaad Pot a second chance, using DoorDash. When I clicked the Stewed Chicken (listed as $13.50) to add it to my cart...you are "required" to choose a size...both of have an additional charge (Med +$2.50/Lrg +$4.70) It gave me a bait and switch feeling so abandoned my order...Just list the price you want to charge.

First time ordering from Yaad Pot. I ordered the Curry Chicken which was delicious. However, that is all that came with the dish. No rice, no cabbage, no plantains. just Curry Chicken. While you can order these as sides...in my experience, at the very least, rice and cabbage are always included with curry/stew and that seemed the same with Yaad based on the pictures on their website and those posted with reviews.

The staff is friendly and kind. The food is average. I think they need some more time to grow as a business.

I've ordered food from here 3 times:

The first time I ordered oxtails and he warned me they had a bit of a burnt taste. He let me try it and it was definitely burnt. So I just ordered a beef patty. I appreciated him warning me.

The 2nd time I ordered oxtail and it was good but not the best I've ever had.

Today the beef patty was dry and hard. He warned me once I was about to pay for it.

All in all it's a decent spot. Still has room for improvement. It's already been twice that I've gone there and something wasn't cooked well. First the oxtail, now...

I had the pleasure of trying this location from a Google Review. We traveled about 30 minutes to try this location. When I arrived, I had to circle a few times to find a park. When I entered the restaurant Kay greeted us with a smile. She was very friendly and patient. I ordered curry chicken and stew chicken, macaroni and cheese, steamed cabbage, rice and peas, and sweet plantains.
