Really really loud. We were drawn in by the menu & had we known how loud it was inside we would not have come at all. We were hungry & needed something fast after spending the day at Morton Arboretum so we decide to stay & just get our order in real quick. Croutons on the salads were really good. My friend’s chicken parm came with penne which was not mentioned on the menu & of course unexpected. The angel hair on my cousin’s shrimp pasta was overcooked along with the broccoli. I don’t recommend the stuffed clams it was literally all breadcrumbs. The spinach dip wasn’t bad. The salmon on my salad was so dry & overcooked but yet still edible. (I ordered medium rare just to avoid such but what can you do?) The side salads that came with entrees literally only had lettuce, croutons & a tiny amount of shredded carrots. Not much of a, “salad.” Service was slow & it was so loud she didn’t get all the orders right. Drinks took a while so order your second drink before you need it kind of place. Overall it seemed like more of a local place to watch the Bears game & get pizza than cater to the tourists from the Arboretum. Which is fine I’m sure they do well. Just good to let others know what to expect.

Great little local bar with good quality food. Their pizza is fantastic and is half price on monday. They have live entertainment on various days of the week. Menu is an italian american style ranging from calamari to parmagiana, to vesuvio, to ravioli etc. Prices are comparible to restaurants in the area. Mostly an older local crowd. Bar drinks are average. 6 bucks for a titos anf soda, add a dollar for tall. Bottles of beer usually on special and week day specials. I ordered grilled calamari which was cooked perfectly, 2 titos. A chicken bacon ranch wrap with a salad and got out with a 40 dollar tab plus tip. Plenty of tvs for any game you want to watch. Would recommend.

We were greeted at the door and told we could sit wherever we want. After we got a seat, I got up and went back to the door and got us menus. Our server, Samantha, got our drinks and then sat and talked with a couple at a high top while drinking her Dunkin cold brew. That’s a was for over six minutes while we waited to order. The bruschetta was very good and so was the chicken soup. Lots of big chunks of chicken our entrées were just OK. After we finish eating, Samantha brought us to go containers and took our plates. She then was looking at her phone and showing the bartender things on her phone while we waited for our check.

I just found this restaurant as we live in Lisle and try to support local business. We had a good experience on our first takeout order on a busy weekend. Five days later, my in-laws were were and they like Italian food. We ordered again. Between the two orders, we spent around $130. On the 2nd order, I realized that Evviva advertised in the Val-Pak coupon envelope that everyone gets in the mail with lots of other local business coupons. Well you can also pull Val-Pak coupons on their web site. It has an option to store the coupon in your Google Pay app. I go to the restaurant to pick up my almost $80 order with a few dollar savings and was told the coupon wasn't redeemable. The coupon had a generic code and was also barcoded. The gentleman absolutely refused to punch in the code saying it wasn't redeemable (how could that be given it is a generic Val-Pak coupon code they choose to put out there for their restaurant). He then proceeded to essentially say I would use the coupon over and over until the coupon expires (expiration in 2 weeks). I told him that it is just a generic Val-Pak coupon that I could print out 27 times if I want. But I said I wouldn't do that anyways. It's just a coupon that they themselves advertise with Val-Pak. So either they don't have a system to track on your account these coupons and if you use them or this guy had no clue what he was talking about. Needless to say, I took the inference that this guy thought I was a dishonest criminal type that was out to rip them off. Way to turn off a new customer for a few dollar coupon that you are aware you circulate. I will not be returning most likely. And it ruined my dinner experience with...

We were coming back into town from a day trip; and we decided to detour into Lisle’s downtown to find and stop at Evvva for the first time ever. We had been getting a local coupon for Evviva in the mail intermittently for the last few years. We got one recently and put it with some other offers on our desk for some hopeful near future use:

We wanted to finally try the Salerno’s pizza we have seen advertised so many times. I (James) had been to the original Salerno’s as a child, then went to the Chicago location later in life when I lived in the city; then recently, based on the recommendation of the owner’s wife, we visited the St. Charles location.

I wanted to compare how Evviva nuanced their own Salerno’s Pizza.

Long story short, I asked the kid at the takeout counter if they could honor the coupon towards a ($30 +) build your own pizza we were ordering. He went to ask the manager, and the manager said they would need the actual coupon to get the discount.

Katherine and I were not going to go all the way back a few miles home and then turn around and come back.

We even told them we were first time customers and the situation of leaving the coupon at home since we had impromptu stopped on the journey home.

We were privately disappointed. We really liked the location and the local ambiance of Evviva.

As a result of not honoring our word and coupon, we went home.

We ended up later trying another new Italian eatery and Pizza place by our home which we loved.

We had no desire to go back to Evviva because of our first experience; and it comes down to the management and going...

Went back to this pizza place foolishly thinking if I paid cash, there would be no way there would be any additional charges....especially if I paid attention to my receipt. HOW WRONG I WAS! On my receipt was a "hospitality charge" of 75 cents. Notice the name of charge was changed from convenience to hospitality by this company. When I requested to have charge removed, I was told by the GM that this was a charge so they would not have to raise their prices!?!? I do not know about most people, but paying $27.50 for a medium pizza to me means prices were already raised!!! The GM had a rehearsed answer to jusify this charge. I HOPE that people will start speaking up!! The more we allow charges that are put in place to cover a company's cost to do their own business -- lining their pockets while picking ours--the more control we are giving away!! I do not have an issue with food or staff; however, I do have an issue paying a "convenience fee" even when I pay cash! The fact that they are charging you a fee at all is ludicrous! BTW it is not posted either! How many people pay this fee unaware that they are doing so?!?! This is unethical. BEWARE OF HIDDEN FEES ADDED TO ALREADY...
