I don't believe I have ever had a worse customer service experience in my life! I had purchased a feeder and deck mount accessories from this store as a gift, which cost over $100. After giving it to the recipient, she decided she preferred a different mounting system, so I took the feeder (which they had screwed in part of the mount when I purchased it) and the other accessories back to the store. I wanted to keep the feeder, but return the mounting accessories. When I purchased the feeder originally, I remember the hanging cord being attached, but it was not on the feeder when I got home. At that time it didn't matter because it wasn't going to be hung. I told the man and woman behind the counter when I returned the accessories that I wanted the hanger after all, which had been removed. They placed one on the desk with a $4.99 price tag on it. I said (politely) I don't think I should be charged for a new hanger since they removed the one that came with the feeder originally. The male behind the counter immediately snapped at me that he wasn't going to argue over $5, but the bigger feeders don't come with hangers and proceeded to point at the display. I responded by saying he didn't have to be rude, and he came back with the snide comment "I think that you'd be unhappy with anything that doesn't go your way". I could not believe my ears! The woman behind the counter was very nice. I believe they are the owners. I have always loved Wild Birds Unlimited Stores and have frequented the one in Orland and Galena for years with no problems. I will never go back to the Lisle store, and urge others to take their business elsewhere. They obviously care nothing about...

When my daughter took me to this store, I was pleasantly surprised. We have shared interest in the wild life as well do my other daughters. Unfortunately, moving out of state has left little options for the fresh foods and supplies nature mostly appreciates using safely. I particularly was impressed how much I learned from the very kind ladies and gentleman. The extra time teaching us about the products and listening to our objectives was excellent customer service. Naturally, I have an eye for appearance of retail and product set up as balance being the key that this store out did my expectations. To have as many options and educational videos with areas of smaller to large retail items, immediately noticed how much care in displays set up. It demonstrates the passion of the business and care of their shipments and supplies as well value in customers. We have visited many times since and never left dissatisfied as we have had great outcome from the time and products sold so far. I'm glad to have a business this much into customer service and pristine care of their store and products...

I really like this store and the women who work there. They’re extremely helpful and knowledgeable and can answer almost all of my questions. There is a man who works there who can be less than pleasant but I think he gets busy and overly stressed and maybe that accounts for his behavior. I always find what I need and much more! I end up spending way too much money but it’s on things like squirrel deterrents and useful items like that.

Their seed is of superior quality. My neighbor was feeding the birds safflower seed purchased from a hardware store and she rarely goes birds at her feeders. They were all at mine! She asked me where I got my seed from and made a beeline to Wild Birds. After that we both had birds at...
