we visited tonight looking for a place to enjoy a drink. the place looked awesome, they had an acoustic set going and we were excited to try it out. when we went inside, we were greeted by a fit man, like imagine mike the situation’s doppelgänger. we asked for a seat outside, and he immediately cut us off and sternly told us “no.” at first we were confused as to why we were told no when there were plenty of spots outside, but we assumed there were reservations and moved along. upon passing the cafe again, we noticed no spots were filled outside. i went inside to ask why we were told no. mike the situation told us that it was for cocktails only, no dinner, and that we could order our drinks at the bar. so again, i asked why were we told no in the first place. he responded, “did you come in here to complain?” lol. look, i work in the service industry. i have never even written a bad review. and i understand you’re understaffed. but nothing we said was aggressive or annoying, we were just treated like it was; which is super disappointing. i’ll give three stars because after looking at reviews and pictures, this place seems like it has potential. i respect opening a restaurant in the midst of a pandemic. but, i request your staff either learns better customer service skills, or learn to be capable of owning up to their mistakes when they’re caught...

was sat at a table outside by a hostess (who ended up being our server) who evidently told another table that we were going to give up our seat to them. when we did not give up our table, the group left and the server was upset and stated “those women wasted my time and my water”

zero people were inside because the music was so loud and you couldn’t hear anything.

i asked said server if we were to go in to order as my group had been waiting 10 minutes for service. she was rude in her answer and disappeared inside to then come back to take our order.

more short responses with an argumentative tone followed with very slow service. unsure if the server was having a bad day as from what i could tell she was alone.

didn’t tell us about any specials until after we ordered.

our order arrived and our charcuterie board was the saddest thing i have ever paid money for. on top of it looking like something a toddler could’ve put together, the server got our 4 piece order wrong and never told us the items we actually received.

the mushrooms we had tasted old and were soggy.

will never recommend this place to anyone nor will i return.

so disappointed to see a Salerno restaurant be so awful.

should have known it would’ve been bad when the server was wearing a shirt that said “nope, not today”. should’ve taken the advice that august 7th was not the...

This was disappointing. Wine was good; food was okay, but the service was where it went wrong.

I had to repeat my wine order 3 separate times and my gf’s order twice. Possibly because the server could not help but interrupt me before I was done speaking.

Then, we overheard our server and another (a man in sweatpants) talking about us and staring.

The whole time, Mr Sweatpants was eating food behind the bar with his mouth open WHILE talking, without washing his hands a single time. Complete slob.

We got our food and the server did not check in with us until we were done.

Lastly, there were gnats everywhere. It’s difficult to enjoy a charcuterie board when you’re swatting flies left and right. It makes me wonder how clean the restaurant really is.

Probably would...

Dropped in to try R. Urban this evening. I have to say that everything was outstanding. They have a great wine selection highlighted by some of Nicole's suggestions. The wood oven pizza was incredible. In addition to the pizza we tried the egg plant and chicken parm, and the meatballs. Both were excellent. That said, the highlight of the evening was the meat and cheese butcher block. They had some incredible selections. The vibe was cool and chic. The staff was friendly and responsive. I'd recommend this new gem to any and all. Can't wait to go back.

When we arrived, we were brought 2 bottles of water but no glasses. Waited and waited, finally brought glasses, but it was 94 outside and we had to ask for ice. We had the meatball sandwich and the turkey sandwich. Menu didn't state what came with them, but we were pleased with a nice salad. A glass of wine was $15, which was more than the sandwich!
