We stopped by on out way home for a "quick" lunch. I am not sure if we came on an off day since I read the reviews before we came. All of the problems we had were blamed on our waitress who was honestly the best part of our visit, but because she was young she was the scapegoat. She however did not cook the horrible food we received. I ordered a brie, cheddar, and bacon melt on rye. After several minutes the front end manager came to verify my order. When it was delivered it was a hunk of brie, many slices of oily bacon, and soggy bread. I sent it back because nothing was "melted" and it was missing the avocado and tomato. It came back with a huge hunk of avocado and mangled tomatoes. Still soggy, still un-melted cheese. The whole time we were there we witnessed the staff being yelled at ( honestly, I would have walked out if it were me). Unfortunately, it was so bad it became entertaining. When I received the bill for $73.00 (which was wrong) I brought it up to the manager and told her the bill was wrong. She then got the owner and when I was trying to explain what was wrong and mentioned my sandwich, she started yelling at me and said fine take it off without even acknowledging or listening to anything I had to say. I said Happy Holidays and left after paying the correct amount of the bill. Beware! It was an interesting, but not...
Read moreOur second time to Patty's arrived at 11:05. Sadly 5 min. too late for breakfast! Really? We were offered crepes or a waffle. I asked if the fruit was fresh. I was informed they were except the blueberries. My strawberry were soaked in some kind of sweeten juice. So not fresh..my crepes all two very small the filling very disappointing. First I was told it was cream cheese filling. I told the waitress no as I didn't want cream cheese. She then corrected herself and informed me it was ricotta cheese. So I ordered definitely not ricotta! Lots of sickening sweet cream cheese. My Aunt got the waffle with the "fresh" strawberries. She was scrapping them off as the juice made the waffle soggy! For three breakfast, two coffees and a tea $ 37.00. Very disappointing not good over priced and last...
Read morePatty’s is the perfect breakfast stop if you find yourself in the hills of Litchfield. There were so many great specials, it was hard to pick the perfect breakfast. The hash browns were nice and crispy, my blueberry pancakes were excellent, and the low key environment make it easy for the hangover crowd and families alike. 9 AM on a Sunday was busy, but we were seated with no wait in the back room. As we were heading out, it looked like people had to wait a bit to get their tables. Patty’s was, admittedly, the first result of the google search for “diner” and we were glad it turned out being exactly what we...
