I recently visited Jewel’s Treats, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of delightful. The variety of ice treats on offer was impressive, ranging from classic flavors to some innovative combinations that were a treat to the taste buds. Each treat I tried was bursting with flavor, perfectly sweetened, and refreshingly cool - just what you need on a warm day!

What stood out to me even more than the delicious treats was the exceptional customer service. From the moment I walked in, the staff were welcoming, friendly, and eager to help. They patiently explained the menu, offered recommendations based on my preferences, and served everything with a smile.

But the highlight of my visit was the interaction with the owner. It’s not often you see the owner taking a hands-on approach in engaging with customers. They came over to our table, asked about our experience, and genuinely seemed to care about our feedback. It was clear they’re passionate about their business and ensuring customers leave happy.

Ugh! This bakery is definitely 1 of a kind from fun desserts to awesome customer service. I found it on Google & called to see if they had my favorite dessert…red velvet cake. I spoke with the owner…her personality is fun as well

We’ve returned 3x’s in a month, and brought some of our family. It’s been 2+ years since I’ve found a good bakery so I’m excited 😊

Red Cheesecake(me) - 9 out of 10 …pretty much perfect! so moist & fluffy even at day 2…would get more icing & pecans next time since I like a lot

Drove over an hour with my infant to support this Black-owned bakery and treat myself to some poundcake (over $50 worth) that I ordered online. Showed up right at opening, only to find a note on the door saying they were sold out and wouldn’t reopen until 1pm. A bit disappointing, but I figured I’d wait it out.

Came back later, and while the sales associate was pleasant, the owner came out and immediately said my last name very aggressively, claiming she shut the site down and I must’ve ordered from the soul food place nearby. No “hello,” no checking the order, just attitude.

Even after I explained and showed proof of my receipt, she stayed rude and dismissive. A simple, “I’m sorry—do you have a receipt?” would’ve been enough.

Can’t support all Black businesses. Waiting another hour for cakes that were baked by someone with a nasty spirit? Nope! Have the day...
