This is difficult to write because I have so many mixed feelings about our experience on a Sunday evening for dinner. I first would like to start on a positive note saying that the food itself was quite delicious. We got the nachos appetizer with chili on it and that was really good. The server that we had (Julia? Lydia? Not sure) was not on the ball with checking in or drink refills. The time we were there she only ever was tending to three tables including us and shortly after our appetizer arrived one of the tables left and she was down to two. At one point I had to bus our own table and bring the appetizer plate and empty drink cups up to the bar so that we had room to eat. We both were forced to only use one napkins the entire dinner because she never brought more or stopped at our table long enough for us to ask for these things. My significant other had a glass of water that was chipped and the piece of glass was in the water that then ended up in his mouth and cutting the inside of his upper lip to the point of bleeding. We asked for medium rare on both of our burgers and one of them was significantly undercooked (rare, cold and purple center). When the waitress finally came to our table (she spent a lot of time in the back and I saw her back there sweeping at one point) we had to address all of our concerns at once. I know we all want to get out of work on time and get extra tasks done when we can but her primary role at that time was being out server and she completely neglected us. She came back with the check and said the manager took 25% off our entire bill which at the time I thought was enough service recovery to satisfy me. However, the “re-made” burger was actually the same burger he had taken multiple bites from before realizing it was cold and purple in the center. They had just put the patty back on the grill and put it on a new bun in a to go box with fresh fries. As I said before the food was delicious! And presented very well. My burger that was properly cooked was so good and the fries are amazing.

On our recent trip to Lititz, PA we enjoyed dinner at The AppalachianBrewing Company. We had heard great things about this place, so we had to check it out for ourselves. We started our dinner with the Handmade Tater Tots- Shredded taters mixed with bacon, cheddar jack cheese and fresh scallions, served with ranch sauce for dipping. OMG!! A crispy outside and a soft and creamy inside. I am a tater tot fan, so when I tell you that they were delicious you know it is true. For dinner I had the PIEROGIES & BEER BRATS -Grilled, Mountain Lager steeped bratwurst, cheese stuffed pierogies sautéed in garlic butter, topped with caramelized onions. They are normally served with Garlic Mashed Potatoes, but I got the French Fries. It was really good and there was plenty to share. Jenni had the BREWERS MAC & CHEESE ABC five-cheese blend packed with bacon, bleu cheese crumbles, penne pasta and topped with panko breadcrumbs. She did add the Blackened Chicken. She loved it. There was plenty to share with this entree also. We ended our dinner with the HOMEMADE PEANUT BUTTER PIE- Peanut butter mousse on a chocolate cookie crust topped with chopped Reese’s® Peanut Butter Cups and chocolate sauce. This was AWESOME!! It was large enough to share, but I honestly wanted to eat it all by myself. I also wanted to let you know that you must try the White Birch Beer. I enjoyed several glasses during my meal, but I had to purchase 2 6 packs to take with me. It is so good. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun. Several of the people dining when were there were regulars- like every Thursday night regulars. It was fun to talk with them and hear how long they had been coming to eat there. The staff is amazing!! So friendly and ready to make your dining experience the BEST possible!! I highly recommend that you visit the Appalachian Brewing Company. You will love it!!

Ratings do not match the quality of food and service we got. Other reviewers of this place either have never seen better, or they are unusally generous in rating because we were fairly disappointed to have brought our business here due to these reviews!! Hostess was indifferent. We asked for a table further away from the very loud showman they had for entertainment and the hostess responded it's gonna be loud everywhere because his mic echoes in the speakers. How accommodating! Brews were mostly below average. Fridge Raider Stout and sub sour were good though. Food is comparable to college campus pubs'. Not good! Service was fine. The waitress checked in on us in a timely manner and handled everything well except making recommendations for food, because the food was disappointing. W left feeling cheated on by these reviews and will not be back as there are far better competitors not too far from this place.

5 of us went here last night for my birthday, it was my choice just based on overall reviews in the area. We had several issues but only one we told our server about since she seemed busy during Thursday evening dinner hour. First we ordered 2 apps. They were fine, but the additional stack of 6 appetizer plates that came out, 3 of them were totally covered in greasy fingerprints that we could see easily so we left those stacked and did not use them. While we were ordering meals, my 11 year old orders mac n cheese with fries while pointing to the kids menu that the waitress had to grab crayons for just moments before since the host station did not give crayons. When the meals came out they put a huge dish in front of my 11 year old, of bacon mac with green stuff covering it, onions on it, and a large dish of fries. With my kid, food cant mix or touch each other so I know she wont eat it. The person delivering knew nothing about whether it was a kid meal, so when the waitress returned I asked her, Is that the kids mac n cheese? She said, No, I didn't know she wanted a kids meal, I am so sorry. She took it and said it would be a few minutes. When it came back out it still had bacon thru it and I guess this is how they make it? My kid picked at it 3 times and did not like it, it really looked the same except for the toppings were removed. Anyway, the crux of that was that we got billed and paid for the adult mac, the adult fry side, AND for the kid mac, which the one paying did not notice until after paying when I pointed it out. Last thing, 2 at our table ordered bowls, and got the wrong bowls put in front of them and started eating. They each kept saying they werent expecting it to taste the way it did, and after halfway thru the bowls they finally figured out they got each others food. I have to say that overall the food here was so so. Another at our table ordered the meatloaf but it was so covered in a thick thick fatty sauce and mashed potatoes that it just was not appetizing. My mango tacos were just ok, the meat was so very over cooked on some parts, but I did not want to keep sending food back. At that point I really just wanted to leave. We certainly do not have any desire to return here after last night. Sorry, really wanted to enjoy it and was disappointed that we didn't at all experience a 4.5 review...

I have visited ABC many times over the years and our family's recent visit was just down right disturbing!!! Understandable the day before Labor Day, they were very busy so no fault to the VERY YOUNG server we had. It took a long time to even get drinks to our table, again understandable they were very busy. The drink server didn't know the difference between a wheat ale and a darker beer. My daughter's mother n law ordered a burger... This is where it got disturbing!! She ordered her burger medium rare.... the burger looked like it was seared on both sides for a enough to brown it and wasn't even bleeding it was SOOOOO RARE!!! She kindly asked to have another burger cooked to her preference. UNBELIEVABLY they took her burger back, threw the SAME burger back on the grill and all bit burned it to well done. We know this for a fact because she cut her burger in half to eat it initially. They put another piece of cheese on it and called it done. I'm no good expert but that is just so wrong in so many ways!!! No manager ever came out to rectify the first burger being done so poorly. As a matter of fact after the second attempt NO MANAGER EVER came to our table to investigate the issue. On to the drinks, again.... My son ordered a GINGER BEER and was brought a REGULAR ginger ale soda. That was the first one he ordered and with no complaint, he just drank it. Myself and my son ordered another GINGER BEER and was brought out ANOTHER SET of REGULAR GINGER ALE...... STILL NO REMORSE from any manager or any other staff other than the poor young man who seemed VERY NEW to the serving industry. For an upscale "Bar menu" style restaurant, this was just down right unacceptable for these few issues we had, not to get into other issues we had in this outing... NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE at this fine establishment, so we thought it to be over the years of going there. We all have bad days and not always a PERFECT experience at a restaurant, but this just left us all with no desire to ever revisit. One more side note, the last couple times I left no review because the experience has been declining and this time out the fork in it, no...
