Casa Mañana Rock — Restaurant in Little Rock

There's nothing fancy or pretentious about Casa Mañana. It's a simple establishment with dark wood-paneled floors and furniture (and a few colorful bits of wall art) on the inside. Outside is a patio that feels simple, yet fun. The proprietors had the right idea to greet diners with a veritable wall of spirits when they open the door.

The food doesn't endeavor to be haute Mexican cuisine, but it's delicious anyway. The warm corn tortilla chips pair nicely with their in-house red salsa. Their burritos and chiles rellenos are are always comforting, but I go there especially for the Puntas Potosinas, which has strips of tender beef smothered in a delightful chipotle cream sauce. The dishes I've eaten over the decades have been been prepared well, but I'm there for the Puntas.

The house margarita is tangy, sweet, and refreshing, tasting of fresh lime juice. Although I suspect there isn't much tequila in it. Which maybe isn't the worst thing. Could be stronger, though.

My strongest culinary complaint is about their guac, which is overly creamy and has a fermented tang about it. And the Mexican rice and refried beans are pretty much rubber-stamped.

We've never had bad service at the Casa. Ever. They look after their diners. They know what they're doing. I've always felt happy after my meal.

I'm glad the Casa is here and I want to thank them for being a bright spot on an otherwise dismal...

So I took my boyfriend here for our anniversary. I thought oh he loves mexican and it has 4.1 stars so let’s do it especially since they have street corn we both love. Well it was an absolutely horrible choice. The street corn smelled absolutely rancid and was more like soup. We couldn’t eat more then a bite. I got the number 2 which is a beef taco and a cheese enchilada. The sauce was so disgusting I couldn’t eat more then a bit. So pretty much I threw $40 down the drain because I couldn’t eat anything but the cheese dip which was just okay. The chips are so thick, much thicker then a normal hard taco shell. I would never recommend this place. Service was good and attentive but the food was awful. There’s not many bad reviews and it give your a false sense...

Unhelpful, delivery late, food soggy, then claimed not to have a record of the order. This is the second time I've gotten awful service (having an order/delivery messed up and the claim that they could do nothing*), but after several months i tried again because they're the only non-pizza restaurant that delivers to my area.

I should've stopped ordering from them when the delivery person claimed not to have change for a $20 in an order that was $11 before tax and delivery few and $14 with. Never again.

*Note that if youre white, you'll have no problems. They fell over themselves to help my white friend with any mistake he brought up, getting comped meals even if it wasn't mentioned until the next...
