China Plus Buffet — Restaurant in Little Rock

The rating would be better if it were it not for the experience I just had. Before we could talk about my usual buffet order to go, the person who is almost always in charge told me I had complained about not getting enough chicken during a previous visit. The next Time in the establishment I was given a free meal to make up for that complaint.

I begged her to please know that I was not the person that happened to nor had I complained about anything. Basically she said to me we won’t do it anymore. You can go somewhere else I got in trouble for the way that we served your chicken in the past. She was so cold and did not care what I said. If she had thought about what she was accusing me of, she would’ve realized that the complaint did not even make sense for me.

So as she continued to insist I go somewhere else, I said OK, I will leave you won’t ever see me again, but please know that I am not, and would not lie to you for any reason the service was not such that I would need to complain. I know that cultural differences may dictate the way customers in that restaurant are spoken to, but it was extremely humiliating to me to be accused of something that obviously involved someone else , and it was decided that it was me. My wife and I are from out of town and wanted some Chinese this was the closet one so we went. Upon arriving we noticed that the building was really run down but ok, we go in talk to the lady behind the counter for 2 buffets we are seated at a dirty table so I wiped it off then we go to get our plates and my favorite is general Tao’s chicken however the sauce was so watery that it would even stick to the chicken I asked if that was normal and the owner rudely replies that I’m white and don’t know anything about Chinese food. So I went and sat down with my wife as I am telling my wife about what had just happened the owner again comes over and start yelling at me leave so me and my wife get up and go to leave as we are leaving she says we need to pay for the food my wife ate I denied and we walked out the she comes out gets our plate number and calls the police like we done and dashed the cops came did nothing but ask us to leave. So if you ever think about going here don’t the food is terrible and the service is even worst if your are in the area I suggest panda garden on shackleford rd the food is amazing the prices are way better and the service...

I really like this place. It's near my house, the service is great - fast and friendly, the buffet is large, and I've never personally noticed any cleanliness problems.

There is one major complaint I have, though: the temperature. For the past couple of years, it's almost always been swelteringly hot inside. Every so often it'll be OK, but then the next time I visit, it's back to feeling like I'm in a sauna. Take today, for example. It's 90 degrees outside, with a heat index of 96. I actually felt relief when I stepped outside because even though it wasn't 90 degrees in the restaurant, it was pretty darn warm and there was no breeze.

Try to make it a little more comfortable in there, y'all, and I bet you'll get even more business. I've been risking it every so often for a while, and even when it's hot I stay because the place is so great otherwise. But that won't happen much longer, at least for me. It's really hard to enjoy eating when it's almost too hot to breathe! (Also, if your customers are hot just sitting there, your poor staff are probably on the verge of heat exhaustion for their...
