Waffle House — Restaurant in Little Rock

Delicious food and good service. This team of workers all get along and work well together. It comes out in their food and service. The restaurant is clean and orderly and one of the most professional but friendly and happy Waffle Houses I have enjoyed dining in (3/31/2024, 0700 am). My waitress was Natasha (I believe that is her name, a middle-aged white female with dark brown hair), who served me. She was excellent. I always eat at Waffle House when traveling and have done so for over 30+ years. This is the first time a waitress questioned my knowledge of smothered, covered, chunked, scattered, and well done. The waitress had to make sure I knew what I was ordering by saying; you want onions, cheese, ham, scattered, and well done; that is nothing more than spreading the hash browns out on the grill. I looked at her and said, I know the lingo, which is what I want. She tells me that "most customers" do not know what they are ordering. Well, I spouted that out after waving off a menu; I know what I want and perhaps a long-time regular. This was the only rub in the meal, I noticed she questioned what another worker said about the eclipse and when it occurred. She does come off a bit condescending and perhaps should catch herself as it is a distraction to the dining experience....

I should know by now to just not try and order from here but I made the mistake again. I called them around 12:30am for a Togo order and no one picked up so I thought maybe they were busy and I'll just go by to order. I pull up and 3 or 4 of the employees are all sitting outside. One of them even said they would come in, in a little bit to take my order. There was one server inside who took my order. I ordered a patty melt with hashbrowns and pork chops with hashbrowns and 2 waffles. I get home and no waffles. I call back tell them I didn't get my waffles and they tell me they can get them ready. I show back up and she says I gave you an extra waffle for the drive. I dont want I extra waffle I want it right when I leave that's what I want or at least my meal redone since by the time I make it home with my extra waffle that I'm not gonna be able to eat cuz I barely eat one my food is gonna be cold but like I said I should have know better than to think this waffle house could have got it right the first time. Who knows maybe day shift is better. All I can say is good luck if your picking this...

Since I can't give half reviews , I will definitely say that the food was great, customer service was great ( I forget our server's/waiter's name, but I remember his face and how polite he was :) ) but he was awesome, he took great care of us, very helpful I didn't know what I wanted so I asked him what he recommended he recommended the regular waffle, so I ordered that with a side of sausage, the sausage was good but had a bit too much spice /seasoning to it , when I basically 'sacrificed' my fork by dropping the fork on the floor ( unintentionally of course. ) He quickly got a new one. I will definitely hope to have him as my server again, not sure of I'll revisit waffle House ( just not a big fan if waffle House honestly , nothing personal against...
