A Sunday Lunch at Waldo’s Chicken and Beer in Little Rock 🐔🍻

A few Sundays ago, I decided to treat myself to a delightful lunch at Waldo’s Chicken and Beer in Little Rock, and I must say, it was a lovely experience overall! 💕

Upon arriving, I was pleased to find that there was no wait, making it a breeze to start my culinary adventure right away. The atmosphere was inviting and casual, just what I needed for a relaxed Sunday afternoon.

We decided to indulge in the wing meal and the 2-piece meal, and both were absolutely scrumptious. The chicken was cooked to perfection, juicy with just the right amount of seasoning. Accompanying our main dishes were sides of mac and cheese, collard greens, and cucumber salad—each dish was incredibly tasty! The mac and cheese was creamy and comforting, the collard greens had a rich, savory flavor, and the cucumber salad added a refreshing crunch. 🧀🥗

However, one little hiccup slightly marred our experience. There were some pesky gnats flying around our table, despite being seated inside, which was a bit distracting. It would be excellent if this could be addressed to make the dining experience even more enjoyable. 🦟

Overall, despite the little gnat issue, I had a wonderful time at Waldo’s Chicken and Beer. It’s a great spot for a casual lunch with delicious comfort food. I’m already looking forward to my next visit and trying out more items from their...

Waldo’s is a cool spot ! 💛

Parking: Weird parking lot lol (the way it’s set up). But I can usually find a spot if it’s not busy. Keep in mind there are other businesses in that same lot.

Seating: They have a fake grassy area outside where you can take your food to sit and eat on a nice day. They also have a bar on the outside (it opens up like a garage door). Or you can sit inside. It’s seat yourself vibes (except by the bar). Seating immediately by the bar (there’s booths) or at the bar you can order from the bartender. Otherwise you buy your food and drinks at the register and sit wherever. They give you a number and bring it to you !

Food: Everything I’ve eaten so far has been yummy ! I tried one of their salads before (delicious). It comes with a muffin which was soo good. I also like their queso. It’s good for a chicken spot !

Drinks: Last I went .. I know for sure they have $5 margaritas on Tuesdays ! Their frozen margaritas are delicious! You can also order drinks to go. Not sure if it’s certain drinks only or what. But I know you can get the margaritas to go for sure.

Entertainment: They have tvs for sports. They also have a few arcade games and a pool table !

Bathrooms: Typically clean when I go !

Service: Most of the servers/employees are kind when I’ve visited .

All in all.. a cool place to get inexpensive food and drinks if you want a chill day or...

The chicken was outstanding, perfectly crisp on the outside yet tender on the inside, and the potato wedges were that perfect side that perfectly complemented the main dish. Every bite felt like it was made with care, using recipes that lend themselves to a truly unique taste experience.

Beyond the food, what really makes Waldo’s shine is the staff. Each member of the team greeted me with a warm smile and a genuine desire to make sure I had a fantastic experience. Their friendly, welcoming vibe immediately made me feel at home.

The overall atmosphere of the restaurant is relaxed and inviting, making it an ideal spot to enjoy a casual meal with friends or family. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, it’s clear that Waldo’s Chicken and Beer takes pride in providing delightful food and a heartfelt dining experience.
