TL;DR Review: If you have kids, you should already be a big Zaxby's fan.
Kids eat free every weekday after 4pm with the purchase of adult meals.
It's a bit gauche to directly compare a restaurant to a competitor by name in a review so I try hard not to do that. In this particular review it's difficult though. Just know that there's another chain restaurant in the city that serves simliar fare and in this review, if I say "small," I do so relatively, with the other restaurant in mind.
My family loves Zaxby's because it's pretty cheap to feed us all there for dinner. We typically walk out pretty satisfied, but a lot of that might be due to having our expectations curbed by frequent visits so that we all know what to expect. For instance, we know not to order apps becuase their apps are pretty lacking. We did one time. We got a boat of fried mushrooms. The mushrooms were not only limited in quantity but also in quality. They were obviously from frozen, with most of the taste gone and small in size. Another restaurant might overflow a boat of a larger size, with large mushrooms juicy and exploding with taste. Anyway, as I said, we know better than to order appetizers.
My wife and I typically both get five-piece boneless meals tossed with their Nuclear sauce. We waivered a while between Nuclear and Tongue Torch, and it's a difficult selection because Nuclear is a bit on the too-hot-for-comfort side and Tongue Torch is a bit on the do-you-have-anything-hotter side. TT also has a favor that lacks vibrance. Anyway, it's weird. Don't they have a classic Buffalo sauce? Yes, they do, but that tastes just... off. These meals are served with crinkle-cut fries that are limp and soggy. Not sure why, but they're not bad, just... limp. And soggy. The boneless wings are sometimes a bit on the small side, and for some reason, they only have a 5-piece bonless meal. Why don't they have a 8 or a 10? Not sure. You can order more if you want. Whatever; just seems like they could have a more helpful menu. At this particular location, and not some others, the wings have spots of cold when they give them to you. Don't know what's up with that either.
Zaxby's salads are really good though, but I typically only order one when they have either their Zensations salad (asian, served with eggroll) or their Southwest salad (not sure what that one is actually called). Those are both really good salads. For some reason though, salads don't come with drinks? Their sandwich meals are around $6.80. Last night I had the Zensations salad, which was $9 and didn't include a drink. Seems like pretty rough pricing. Anyway, that $9 salad was soooo worth it. I'll have another one...

me personally i think yall need a new staff by looking at these reviews and it looks like nobody cares. not even the person reading them
every time i visit this location, it feels like no one wants to work. i’m saying that respectfully, but it’s the truth. the service has been consistently disappointing, and it’s gotten to the point where i’d rather not stop here at all.
the first time i came, i ordered two cobb salads. one came with no meat at all, and the other had barely any. i let that slide.
but tonight was the final straw. i pulled up to the speaker around 10:25pm — all the lights were off like the store was closed. but your sign says you’re open late, and your website clearly shows closing time is 12am. so i proceed anyway, and when i try to order, the employee tells me y’all are out of a lot of items — sweet tea, lemonade, and anything involving loaded fries. this is at 10:30pm, not 11:55.
when i mentioned how it looked like the store was closed, i heard someone in the background sarcastically ask, “how does it look like we’re closed?” well, because the lights are off and no one sounds like they even want to serve customers. it’s giving “just here for the paycheck” energy.
unfortunately, this was my last visit to this location. it’s sad to say, but the quality and the service have truly gone downhill. i hope upper management takes this seriously, because this location does not reflect what Zaxby’s is supposed...
Read moreI’m writing this review not because of the food but because of the service! I was over joyed when I heard that a zaxby’s was opening near me! So today I decided to go. First the young lady over the speaker didn’t sound cheerful at all which is kind of weird since you guys have just opened! I order a big zak attack and asked it to be dipped in buffalo! I got my food and was so excited until I realized my fries were cold and tasted old! I kindly asked for some more fried instead of her saying sorry about that she looked at me like she had a problem! So then I get my food back and this time the chicken wasn’t dipped! Ugh I mean what happened to the chicken I just had! So again told her she said you asked for more fries so we gave you fries! I said ma’am my order is not right, so rudely she closed the drive thru window so another lady comes up to the window and asked me to pull up! The manger brought my food out but I only had 2 chicken strips and the big zak comes with 3! At this point I’m angry bc all I wanted was fresh fries! I work at a physicians office right down the street for this zaxby’s I treat a lot of professional people like doctors, lawyers, judges, and policemen so when they ask me about this location I’m going to be honest the customer service sucks for it to be a new location and to go somewhere else for lunch! I think I’ll keep driving to Bryant to...
