The good stuff first… The restaurant was nice and the hibachi chefs were entertaining. The hostess that seated us was also very nice and the other staff we interacted with were also nice and helpful. However, the server we ended up with was absolutely horrible. She showed up about 10 minutes after we were seated. We were very friendly but she was very “cold” from the start. We just shrugged it off at first. When she brought our appetizers, she just kinda dropped it on the table, not gentle at all. She asked if we wanted chopstick, we said “yes, please”, but she never brought them. I just got up and got some from the bar myself. Didn’t make an issue of it. When ordering our sushi I twice communicated that I cannot have avocado due to an allergy and needed it substituted. She brought the food out with avocado. I explained again that it will literally kill me. She walked away for about five minutes before coming back to have the order redone. We were right next to the sushi bar so I went ahead and communicated with the sushi bar chef what I needed and all was good. He remade the rolls, a different server brought it to me and I tossed some cash in the tip bowl for the chefs. Food was decent. Not horrible. It just didn’t have a strong flavor kick like sushi normally has. Finished eating and waited… waited… waited. Finally our server shows up and we let her know we’re ready to pay. At this point we had already decided not to tip her because her attitude, attention to us, and service were the three strikes. Upon getting the bill, she walked off despite me literally placing the card in the tray. We waited and waited… 10 minutes passed, she’s nowhere in sight. I finally stop another server and inform her of our wait, ready to pay, and no clue where our server was. She assisted us quickly and kindly. I paid my bill and left “no tip” for our server. I think if we had anyone else we’d have had a good experience, but this one server ruined it. We...
Read moreThe food was good. Service was sub-par. Atmosphere was meh.
The hibachi chef did a great job cooking the food. The chicken was well cooked.
Service was ok. Andrian was our server. He was kind but not very attentive. At one point, he forgot my drink order and only remembered when I asked him how long the drink would take. I then finished my drink after we paid our check, which was not very ideal. The salad with ginger dressing was very soggy, and the ginger dressing seemed like it had ranch mixed in it. Not for my liking. The onion soup was really good, though! While eating our meal, the server handed out to go boxes, which made me feel rushed eating, and we took that us our que to leave. I also asked my server if he could run my card for 10 bucks so I could give the hibachi chef a cash tip, but the lady at the kiosk said that was not possible. Odd because I have worked at restaurants before and have done the, but that's fine as it's their establishment rules. Probably won't return as there are many other establishments with better service and good food. The lady at the kiosk did not seem to have a good attitude at all. She opened the restaurant doors with a frown on her face and made the first customers in the restaurant wait while she was on the phone (possibly taking an order not sure).
P.S. the child high chair was extremely sticky with sauce and other items. So gross. I had to wipe it down myself, and the napkin was extremely gross after cleaning.
Highlights: the drink (Hawaiian crush and the food) Cons: service...
Read moreI called your restaurant yesterday at 1:30 to order your roll combo which I almost exclusively order. I placed the order and at the end the person (Rachel) says sorry we cannot take your request for a roll combo because it is the weekend, I was confused so I asked what she meant. She said we don't serve lunch on the weekends, dinner only. I have placed the same order the Roll Combo $8.95 each time I order. She says you cant order that but you can order the dinner combo for $24. I said I'll pass on that and could you please let me speak to a manager, she says no, I said if you could just put a manager on the phone please. She said no and hung up on me. I called back and she says hello, I said manager please, she hangs up on me again. I call back and she picks up and tells her coworker "Same Guy, I think he's crazy" and hangs up. My wife had placed an order also and that's why I figured I would handle two things at once and call so when I picked up my order I asked a different employee for the name of the restaurant owner he referred me to the Rachel person who says "you were calling earlier" I said yes so I'll need the name of the owner. She says I don't give that information out and starts laughing, I have never before been laughed at by an employee of any establishment. This was probably the worst customer service experience I've ever encountered. And this restaurant needs to help it's employees to understand simple...
