We decided to pick up something quick at McDonald's after arriving back home from DIA following several days out of State, so we might hurry home and watch the last few minutes of the Broncos game. We went to the "drive-thru". I ordered a Smokehouse Bacon Meal for $9.80 + tax. My wife ordered a Big Mac Meal, with the drink upgraded to a large chocolate shake she could share with our daughter, who would soon be coming home after a long day at work. We also ordered two plain double cheeseburgers for our daughter. When the tall kid in a black shirt at the window asked if I wanted a receipt for our $25.47 purchase, I declined. We drove home. When I sat down in front of the TV and took a bite out of my Smokehouse Bacon Signature double cheeseburger, my mouth was full not only of burger, but also a very long (8-12 inches) human hair that I pulled out of my mouth, as I spit out the burger. I immediately bagged the hair up in a sandwich bag, along with the order ticket for my burger, and backed the hair with a paper towel for contrast. I showed it to my wife and daughter. After the Broncos game (and post-mortem), I went back to McDonald's, with a very bad taste in my mouth from both the hair and the game. I waited alone at the counter for a few minutes, until a rather sullen Latino fellow in a red shirt passed in front of me (for the third time without greeting or addressing me), and I asked, rather sternly, "Who's the manager here?" He responded, "I am." I asked him to explain why there was a very long human hair in my Signature Smokehouse Bacon burger for which I paid ten bucks. I showed it to him. He did not apologize or seem in the least concerned or disturbed. He asked me if I wanted my money back. I responded, "At minimum, for the cost of the Meal." He asked for a receipt. I told him I had declined a receipt, when offered one by the tall kid in a black shirt at the window. He then told me he would refund only the price of the burger, since I had no receipt. I raised my voice and demanded the entire cost of the Meal, "$9.80 + tax!". He then impudently put 5 dollars on the counter. I refused it, and demanded the entire cost of the meal. He gave me $9.00, and threatened to call the police and have me arrested, if I did not take it and leave. I responded, "You're from Mexico, and threatening to call the police on ME?" Long story short: I left with most of my refund, insolence in lieu of an apology, and a pretty dim view of McDonald's attention to quality, health regulations, or customer satisfaction. I work at a shop near by and all of my employees shop at this location for food and I was sent there today to get food for them and I had the worst experience. I had to order twice because the employee at the window didn't listen to my order when I asked her for two separate orders. She only took down one and then looked at me when I went to correct her and then she didnt even bother to fix it. I do not appreciate having to drive back around the drive through because they couldn't do their job correctly. I am even more upset by the manager Linda....she told me after I had to come back around that I could not go to this location to get food anymore. Had my food delivered through the app and it was the most depressing meal ever. No napkins in the bag, no straw, and no love. I ordered a sprite with NO ice and half the cup was full of ice! There even was an inch missing from my cup. Very disappointing!
Edit: I ordered from this location again and my sprite and mcflurry was messed up. I finally had it and drove to the location and asked to see the manager. The manager was very nice and fixed the problem! Shout-out to the manager but the food still sucks haha
I called this location to ask what happened and someone who spoke NO ENGLISH answered the phone and hung up on me after I told the story TWICE!
