If I could give this location 0 stars I would and thats overall for food, drive thru and customer service. I have worked in the area for 7 years and this particular TB used to be a good one up until a year or two ago. The drive thru was the issue for me because it appeared they were understaffed. However since I never had an issue with the actual food I proceeded to continue going. The last 3 visits have been the worst food and customer service experience I have ever had at a food establishment. I ordered the same thing the last 3times to see if there was a difference in my food. To see if there was any sort of an improvement if you will. Spoiler alert, it got worse with each time. I ordered the spicy potatoe soft tacos. First time some of the potatoes were over cooked, kinda hard. I picked them out and still ate. Second time they mostly all but 2 were really overcooked and really hard. I could only eat half. Third time I questioned if they've been using the same fried potatoes as a month ago because they were so hard when I bit into it I broke a tooth. When I say the potatoes were hard it was as if they have been dunking the same round of potatoes in a fryer day after day until someone ordered something with it in their meal. And if they didnt get used that day I feel as if they just continued to reheat/refry them untill finally someone ordered a meal with them included. They were black and rock solid like cement. I initially thought I bit into glass. Now, I am not one to complain over anything really unless it gets to a point I feel like I have to say something and if I believe its something bigger than a simple mistake. Now is that time.
After my tooth broke with the first bite, I wrapped it back up and didnt even attempt the others. I did not have time to go back as I was on my lunch. So I called the location to speak with a manager about getting refunded when I was off work and to kindly ask the manager to go physically look at the potatoes they are serving in their food and make a new batch or to just be more cautious about the food thats going out. I dont believe in yelling or screaming or even being rude. Just wanted to point it out so they could correct it, get a refund and be done. First time I called someone delibertly hung up on me. The second time I called a young kid (in his early 20s or late teens answered). I asked very nicely to speak with the manager and the kid who answered changed the pitch of his voice in a mocking tone and proceeded to tell me he was the manager. When I asked for his name he said he didnt have to tell me that information over the phone. I then tried explaining that I wasn't calling to get anyone in trouble. He then proceeded to lie and gave me a fake name. I let him know I had nothing further to say and he said that was a relief and hung up on me.
So now, not only did I not eat but I broke a tooth and also got no customer service over the phone to correct the mistake. I will be physically driving back to this location after work, eith my cement tacos in hand, to show them the tacos they served me and to also get refunded in person. I understand mistakes happen which is why I've remainedcalm and civil and why I've given them multiple chances. But frankly, this is beyond that now. Ive concluded they just have a staff that doesnt care at all. Which is fine, I have no problem spending my money someplace else.
Yes, this is a fast food joint but I refuse to go to any place of business that is rude and lacks any sort of basic customer service skills. If they have a person like that just answering their phones and being rude, imagine what they are doing behind the counter that you don't see. Take an extra 5minutes and go to another location or a different food establishment. I promise, you'll...
Read moreLiterally the worst fast food experience I have ever had. On the first occasion I visited, a sign adorned their speaker box notifying customers they wouldn't be able to make ANY burritos and a handful of other products. After attempting to order while having skrillex blasted at me, I pulled to the window. While patiently waiting for my food for an inordinate amount of time I was serenaded by a mix of skrillex and several employees bitching about the customers in a rather loud tone. Somehow, this was not my worst experience. Tonight, I pulled into the drive thru in the middle of a rush. Cars in front and behind me. However, when it was my turn to order the employee asked me to wait. And never came back. After a seven minute wait, the driver behind me got out of her car and asked me what the hell was going on. I didn't have a good answer for her. But feeling the pressure of the line building behind me, I decided to pull forward and have a gander as to what was happening at the window. The employee had been nice enough to leave the window wide open, giving me a clear view. I sat, mouth agape, as I perceived a cancerous waste of life shuffle at a pace that made sloths feel swift, mouth full of food, making his way to the window. I was dumbstruck when instead of addressing me, he started to take the order of the next person in line. His observational skills matching that of the titanics captain. After having to interrupt this hobo who had stumbled his way into a taco bell uniform, I was given lies and excuses like they were going out of style. At this point it came as no surprise that this imbecile failed to take my order correctly, but by that time I wanted so badly to leave I gave up. I'm sure this is what he wanted all along. So now I tell you my tell in hopes that someone with a sliver of responsibility will read it. Hopefully, every employee there will be fired and replaced with someone who can at least do the...
Read moreI know what you’re thinking: “Do people really take the time to write bad Taco Bell reviews?” The answer is yes, yes we do. Because while we all know you get what you pay for at Taco Bell, what you don’t expect is to not get what you pay for at all.
Here’s the situation: yet again, my family’s dinner was short one grilled cheese burrito (insert the numerous other missing meals). Now, normally, I’d let it slide because, hey, it’s a few bucks, and I’m not driving back for that. But this keeps happening. So often, I’m starting to think it’s part of their business model.
So I called the store and asked for a refund for the missing burrito, simple enough, right? Jessica, the employee who answered, said I’d have to drive back to get a refund. Say what? I’d already paid for food I didn’t get, and now I’m supposed to burn gas to fix their mistake? I asked to speak to a manager. Jessica decided this was her moment to shine by talking over me, forcing me to ask, a whopping five times to get to the manager.
Enter Maria, the manager. She, too, informs me that because I went through the drive-thru, they can’t issue a refund without my card being there in person. Now, I work in the finance realm, so I know a thing or two about refunds, and this excuse? Let’s just say it smells as fishy as a fast-food joint suddenly serving seafood tacos.
You can’t mess up this consistently by accident, folks. It feels like they’re either running some kind of “forget-the-burrito” scam or maybe they’ve just got a burrito black hole in the kitchen. Either way, it’s sketchy. This goes beyond your typical Taco Bell blunders. This feels planned. Like Taco Bell, or at least this location, is trying to extort burrito money from its customers, one missing order at a time.
And no, I’m not letting this one go, because it’s not just about the burrito anymore. It’s about justice
Don't sabotage your customers when their teenager has...
