Was craving BBQ and Rusty Tap happened to be very close to home, so I put in a take out order for the family. We ordered the Potato Chip Nachos with Pulled Pork, RT’s Brisket Sandwich with Coleslaw and the Pork Belly BLT with Fried Pickles. I should have taken pictures, but I was too hungry. So, next time.
The Potato Chip Nachos were gorgeous. Topped with saucy pulled pork and your typical nacho fare. The potato chips stayed crisp, even with a 10 minute drive home in a takeout box. Really yummy and a great take on nachos.
RT’s Brisket sandwich was worth the price. Both the sandwiches we got were big. The brisket was tender and the onion ring they top the sandwich with, also stayed nice and crispy. The only thing I’d add to it would be a little more BBQ sauce, but that may be a personal preference. The coleslaw was fresh and a really nice side for the savory brisket.
The Pork Belly BLT was good. The tomato and lettuce were really fresh. The pork belly itself was good, think really thick slice bacon. I will say, it would have knocked my socks off with a belly cure that was either a little spicier, or if was given a heavier smoke. The fried pickles were spicy and savory, but they lost their crisp on the drive home. I think the fried pickles will be something I only order when dining in. Maybe a little more batter? Just a thought.
The service was fantastic. I was greeted immediately by the bartender/server. She was really friendly and despite having patrons at the bar and at tables, she was very attentive. I had forgotten to order an iced tea, so she got that for me straight away. Really large to go iced tea for $2. Good deal.
I’ll definitely be returning to try all the other meats and sides they offer. The restaurant is small, and I like that. Reminds me of a little Mom and Pop joint. Additionally, they bottle their own hot sauces and Bloody Mary mix which is just...
Read moreLast Wednesday during lunch hours I pull up and park my car legally in a handicap spot. As I'm getting out of my car I notice a guy grilling me from the patio the entire time I'm getting out of my vehicle. I'm like why is this creepy guy watching me? I put my handicap sign on my mirror and proceed to walk into the restaurant. Boy was I in for a suprise. The same guy gets into my face right on the door line and asks why I parked in his handicap spot. So I reply back who are you and that i think I put my handicap tag up but let me go back to my car and check if it's hung on my mirror. I start walking back to my car to check maybe i forgot to hang it up or something. I notice the tag is hung and I start to walk back towards the restaurant. He then gets into my face like he wanted to fight me and says that you are not handicap and tells me that he is the owner and that I can't come into his establishment. Buddy who the heck are you to question me or anyone else for that matter if they are handicap or not. He clearly had some issues that day and decided he was going to take it out on me. Buddy I don't need to come in to your restaurant and never will after this debacle. Oh and for the food review your food sucks. Its always dry and it doesn't even come close to the old owner when it was Brickyard. The only reason why anyone comes to your place is the nice girl that's always friendly and greets you with a smile every time making you enjoy being there. You can tell she works her tail of all the time and that's why you're still in business. If it wasn't for her you'd...
Read more⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Rusty Tap – Littleton, CO
What a gem. The Rusty Tap nails that perfect balance between laid-back local bar and elevated hangout spot. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is welcoming — the kind of place where you can actually relax, chat, and enjoy your drink without shouting over a crowd.
The staff here are genuinely friendly and attentive — you can tell they care about their regulars but are just as warm to newcomers. The beer selection is top-notch, with a mix of local Colorado brews and some creative rotating taps that keep things fresh. Their cocktails are surprisingly well-crafted for a neighborhood bar — the kind of mixology you’d expect downtown, not tucked away in Littleton.
The food deserves a shoutout too. Whether it’s their loaded fries, sliders, or shareable apps, everything comes out hot and full of flavor. It’s clear someone in the kitchen actually takes pride in what they’re serving.
The Rusty Tap feels like the kind of place that quickly becomes your spot — where you end up staying “for one drink” and realize two hours later you’ve been laughing with friends and the bartender knows your name.
Highly recommend for anyone in the Littleton area looking for great drinks, a cozy vibe, and genuinely good people...
