Nestled in the heart of downtown, Livermore. Roppogi is a haven for Japanese cuisine enthusiasts. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by an inviting ambiance. What we had... Uni Our culinary adventure began with a delicate plate of uni. Very fresh and buttery! Uni lovers—this dish is a must-try! They are pretty generous with the amount of Uni on the sushi. Sushi/Sashimi Platter: The sushi platter was a work of art. Each piece was meticulously crafted, showcasing the freshest fish and vibrant ingredients. I had to ask if the sushi chef was the owner cause you just can tell if their heart was put into their dish. *Seafood (momo)Salad: A refreshing medley of crisp greens, sashimi, and tender octopus—this salad was a symphony of textures. The tangy dressing with a hint of spice tied it all together beautifully. Shrimp Tempura: Crispy fried to perfection. Garlic Edamame: edamame was perfect with our beer and sake. Staff exudes warmth and hospitality. We were driving from LA to SF and we are definitely stopping by Roppongi again.I've been to many Japanese restaurants but this is definitely a hidden gem...
Read moreI would give them more stars but I went there last night 10-21-22 and my experience wasn't all that great. First off the atmosphere you have 8 propane tanks next to your table 8!! Thats a huge hazard. The waiter was great we had no problems with the waiter. The chef on the other hand we order the deluxe 20pcs for like 40-$50 and my first bite of the sashimi had a sharp bone that ended up cutting me in the mouth i couldn't stop the bleeding cause it was at the top of my mouth.
After complaining all they did was replace it, NO discount NO concern They never asked if I was okay they just kept watching the warriors play and the owners were laughing with the waiters. No Interest in the paying customer. I'm never going back there or recommending it to no one. The 1 star for the service is for the way the owners handled my situation by not showing any interest if i was okay or anything like that.
If it had stars for the waiters I'd give them 5/5 ⭐ only to them. It's not...
Read moreI decided to place it to go order for Roppongi sushi today because it generally had very good reviews and right in the heart of downtown. Staff was very friendly and service was quick. Upon sitting down to eat my food, I was heavily amazed by the level of presentation brought in each entrée. Although when I went to try and taste my food, I had unfortunately come to the conclusion that the flavor was completely underwhelming and entirely average. Another point I would like to make is that the portion sizes are incredibly small for the price point. I know that I can pay the exact same amount with the same presentation and better flavor, more food quantity at other places. It’s good to stop here if you’re in a pinch, but don’t expect to be wowed by anything other than presentation. My personal recommendation for something better in comparison would be Akira in Danville if you’re looking for not only quality dining, but something that will exceed your...
