Sometimes in life it’s the little things that matter. Coffee tend to be one of those things for me. When I tell you one sip of their coffee puts me in a better mood a better mindset and puts a smile on my face I’m telling the truth. Whenever I come in here staff are always friendly, my coffee tastes like magic, and by the way breakfast sandwhiches are to die for!!! I go here regularly, today the machines broke and customers were throwing fits just being rude. I had to walk away from this old Santa Claus lookin man so I wouldn’t yell at him the things he was saying and demanding and interrupting and the employees handled it with such easy patience and kindness. These people are awesome and as someone that doesn’t really like to talk to people I look forward to a quick chat with them while I wait for my coffee. Thank you Panama for the magic coffee...

In the same exact day, I got three items from this coffee shop, Panama Bay, and an unnamed other coffee shop a tenth of a mile down the street in downtown Livermore. The items were a cappuccino, breakfast sandwich, and pastry. Every single item was noticeably better at Panama bay. They made the sandwich there in front of you. It was not some premade, warm up option. And most importantly I would have chosen to eat inside because of the vibe created by the three workers inside, whereas with the other shop I visited did not have all the menu items clearly listed. The pastries were just in the clear window with no description of what they were. I asked and was met with some annoyance that the worker needed to explain it to me, as If I couldn’t tell the apricot from the apple turnover. This local popular neighborhood coffeehouse has been here for almost 20 years serving downtown Livermore. Serves made-to-order hot and iced coffees and teas, espressos, breakfast sandwiches (all day), pastries and cookies. Extensive made-to-order Italian soda selection. Sells freshly roasted coffee beans too. Has an inexpensive used books for sale area in the back.

Baristas are friendly and they do coffee art with the foam. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Most times of the year Panama Bay leaves the big windows open, which gives you the best of both worlds. Lots of people watching. Con - there are flies, but they add to the cafe vibe. Free wifi. Dog friendly.
