My goal was to replace a chain I recently lost as well as upgrade it to gold. This would be my largest jewelry purchase to date and I knew that I wanted to shop secondhand and support local. I went in looking for estate pieces but unfortunately, they were not showing any at the time. The jeweler kindly went to the back and pulled about 100 different chains matching my description from their estate selection. He patiently went through them with me until I found what I was looking for. After he quoted the piece, I decided I needed time to think it over. They placed it on hold for me and provided all the specs so I could do some more research online. A few days later, I talked with a very kind and friendly sales associate, Alyssa, who felt as though I was talking with a friend I had known for quite some time. After I shared that the price wasn’t within my budget, she talked with the jeweler and they were able to hit my target price. I went in to try on the chain one more time and felt great giving my business to a local store especially after the second warm welcome I received. Alyssa took the other jewelry I was wearing to clean and check any prongs and left me with a cleaning kit of my own. While I waited and browsed, I never felt pressured to make a purchase and the associates were sweet with compliments. One associate had a favorite ring and simply asked if she could see it on me. Admittedly, she knew it wasn’t my style, but she hadn’t seen it on someone’s hand whom it fit yet and thought my hand might have the right proportions. In addition, Caratti stands behind their products and strive to ensure customers are pleased and happy with their purchases. About a year ago, I bought a new wedding band to replace my original wedding band at Caratti Jewelers. My original diamond was placed on the new band. Unfortunately, the small channel diamonds on the outer edge of the band were falling out and I was not pleased. While picking up my repaired ring, I looked through the other band options intending to eventually replace my “new” band since I was not happy with it. Colin, the owner, offered to exchange my band with one I was looking at for no additional cost. I was thrilled! Not only did Colin allow for a full exchange (swap), Caratti absorbed the additional cost of a new prong, sizing, and moving my diamond to the new band. My new ring is gorgeous! What was turning into a very unpleasant customer experience for me, was completely rectified by Caratti. As Colin stated, they want their customers happy and I am beyond happy with how Caratti handled the unfortunate situation and ensured I had a ring that I loved.

They were swamped, but still acknowledged every customer and let them know they’d be right there. As basic as that sounds, it’s so important and it’s the first sign that customer service is important to them.
While I was waiting for my watch to be resized I was second guessing one of the chains I had picked out and I was offered help by another rep. She helped me order the style I wanted and had my ring cleaned and inspected as long as I was waiting. I was waiting awhile, because I told the rep who was resizing to take the links from the wrong side. Completely my fault, but she redid her work with just a friendly chuckle.
I appreciate the jewelers attention to detail as he found one loose smaller stone, and one of the prongs on the main diamond was just barely on the corner. He showed me with his magnifier the difference between the prongs that were correct and the one that was apparently bent or worn down.
I will definitely be back. The three staff I dealt with were the most knowledgeable and helpful people I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with at a jewelry store. I also appreciated that they didn’t seem to scoff at wanting to repair some sentimental jewelry from my grandma that isn’t valuable. Just genuinely nice...
